Why the score — what people flag

The place is outskirts of Badami city. The restaurant food was average. The staff were polite but asking for tips all the time. We were ready to keep bags by ourselves but they forced us to let them do and then ask for tips like sir plz give me tips. The room is big but not clean, the bathroom is old. They need to renovate. The shower doesn’t work. There is no WiFi at all in Deluxe rooms. It was working only at restaurant. When we complained they said, it is a small town so some problem but they charge big town amount for the room. Overall, I don’t feel this is 5100Rs per night deluxe rooms hotel. If price would have been 2000-3000Rs per night, it could have been understood. This is not value for money place.

The worst experience I had at such expensive resort. We booked 4 rooms with triple sharing but we got different rooms with different facilities at different location within the resort. They did not even provide extra bed only a mattress on the floor after paying so much. The management was not cooperative. The staff appeared untrained and could not understand English or hindi. The dinner was horrible but breakfast was good. Only plus point is the greenery all around which is very relaxing.

The location of the resort is good. Decently planned. The managers were really kind. However, really poor service. There was one person manning everything in the restaurant, probably even cooking the food himself. Quality of food was cheap. The rooms were clean and hygienic but the roof of the cottage was leaky and rainwater easily entered and flooded the room while we were away and damaged electronics. Be careful while booking room 101.

We visited for the traditional unlimited buffet lunch with the expectation of a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience. While the food itself was acceptable, the service attitude completely spoiled it for us. From the beginning, the staff did not appear welcoming. As we started asking for refills — which is completely normal in an unlimited buffet — their expressions and body language clearly showed dissatisfaction. They served, but very reluctantly. It felt as though they were unhappy that we were actually making use of the “unlimited” offering. This created an uncomfortable atmosphere at the table, and instead of enjoying the meal, we felt awkward every time we requested additional servings. Hospitality is not just about serving food; it’s about making guests feel comfortable and welcome. When staff visibly look irritated or displeased while serving, it leaves a very negative impression. If you are promoting an unlimited buffet, the service attitude should reflect warmth and professionalism. Unfortunately, because of the service experience, we left disappointed. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving staff behavior and guest experience.

Truly awful experience. The first room was filthy: stained walls and curtains, dusty floors with hairs, a dirty shower, mold and humidity everywhere, and a horrible smell of mothballs and sewage.|We were only moved to another room because our travel agent complained for us. The second room was slightly better but still terrible – towels were stained and smelly, the bed so old you sank into the middle, and the foam pillows were horrendous. The whole room still smelled of mothballs and sewage. The fan had no speed control and started to smell burnt. Wi-Fi didn’t work at all, the phone was dead, and there was no room service. Guests blasted loud music from 6 a.m., and the staff did nothing.|The pool and garden could be nice, but guests were swimming fully clothed and staff ignored it – completely unhygienic. The only competent people were the girls in the restaurant, who did their best despite the dreadful management.|Filthy, smelly, noisy, and totally mismanaged. Staying here for two nights was torture. Avoid this hotel at all costs. The garden is really beautiful but the rooms look nothing like the pictures advertised!

Recently, I celebrated my son's birthday with my family and friends (around 70 people). I had selected buffet system for food. But I got disappointed with their service and quality of food. The foods which we opted were not in the buffet and kept in after reminding them and snacks serving started very late and taken out without serving all the people. When I tried to these as feedback, the lady who was in charge was not listening at all but got answer like she is busy in other work and could not listen also, does not know how to respond to customers.

Pathetic food. Ordered gobi manchuria, hot n sour soup. Both of them had lot of ketchup. Then ordered veg Kadai, paneer butter Masala, chapatis. Both of them had same gravy with only contents being different. Chapatis were maid of Maida instead of wheat. Avoid going at all costs to this hotel.

It is not worth what you pay, the rooms are pretty old and service was too bad. Food was just ok, there were no soaps or toiletries were provided except Brushes and paste. Only goodness is greenery and swimming pool.

This is a feedback for the management and a warning for those booking! Not a reflection of people of Badami. We booked based on a personal connection from a friend who knew the owners. When we reached - no one picked up phones. 1. Their rep. the manager gave us a room right next to the toilet (400 room number). That has no option to book online and then lied to us when they had empty rooms, saying it is fully booked. We reached late and tired so had no option. His lies were caught on last day when the owners manager accidentally argued that their were rooms empty. 2. Then, when we asked for a GST bill, they said they don't give for full amount. Not even a receipt. 3. Overall, unscrupulous ownership and management behaviour. NOTE: With zero credit to the hotel or lodge or jugaad at best. We had an amazing time meeting local historians at the museum, travelling to Aihole and Pattadakallu to see the great civilization that lived here. Sad to see descendants have decided to decend into pataal lok behaviour.
