I recently stayed at this property for one day while exploring Mysore, and it was a deeply regrettable experience. What should have been a brief holiday was entirely ruined by poor management and a lack of accountability. 1. Security and Property Damage The most significant issue occurred when I parked my vehicle in the hotel’s designated parking area. Within an hour, my vehicle’s headlights were shattered. Lack of Accountability: Management refused to take responsibility, initially blaming a delivery boy. Unprofessional Resolution: Rather than a manager handling the situation, I was told to follow three minors (aged 12–14) to a "repair shop." They led me to a local market, where I was kept waiting for nearly an hour with no resolution. The "Blame Game": The hotel blamed the parking authorities, the parking authorities blamed the boys, and the boys' employer suggested insurance claims. As a guest, being caught in this "chaos" while on a tight schedule was unacceptable. 2. Staff and Service The staff, were unprofessional and dismissive. Salman was very good with us and he was very professional, he only helped us with all that otherwise everyone else were just ignoring us Negligence:

Location is the only positive aspect and hence 1 star! Firstly, the place looks really good from outside, the common areas and reception etc which made me ignore the google rating and book this place. However as soon as you enter lift, you will realise its an old building and owner forgot to renovate or maintain post launch. The rooms allotted were old, unheigenic (I could see dusts, mosquitos and spider webs) and unorganized (Had to call multiple times and also visit reception for as basic as washroom door mat, Towels and jug - Not sure if they have any checks to make it ready to occupy before allotting the room. So to aum it up, if you are on a trip to explore mysore and all you care is location, you will be okay. But if you want to rest well and re energize, then be prepared for constant visit to reception and compromize on sleep quality!

Excellent experience in learning the difference between Photoshop and reality. Booked Rio Meridian Hotel after seeing the beautiful pictures on MakeMyTrip. The photos showed a premium-looking property with great rooms, classy reception, and an attractive swimming pool. On arrival, I realized the real attraction of the hotel is actually the editing skills of whoever uploaded the photos. The actual rooms and facilities look completely different from what is advertised online. It honestly felt like I booked one hotel and checked into another. The swimming pool, reception, and overall ambience were nowhere close to the images shown on the platform. Special thanks to MakeMyTrip and the hotel for reminding customers that imagination is important while booking hotels nowadays. Future travelers: please don’t rely only on the listed photos. Read recent reviews carefully before booking.

I had booked a stay based on the reviews of this hotel but what I experienced was worst. Plug points not working, desk phone not working, water in the bathroom flows from the tap and shower at the same time does not have a stop button, mosquitoes in bathroom and room, food delivery service to the room is worst some add on items doesn't even gets delivered at all but bill has to be paid, Parking stinks, service at the breakfast counter on the top floor is again worst as we need to repeatedly ask if some food items are over and to get the fan switched on I had to ask thrice. Overall worst experience and not worth the money.

Honestly, this was one of my worst hotel stays ever. The Hotel Rio Meridian is called a 4-star, but the experience is easily 2-star quality, purely due to the management and maintenance failures. Be aware the photos are misleading—the current views shown are old and inaccurate, and I didn't find the pool amenity anywhere. The biggest issue was hygiene. They gave me a visibly filthy, unwashed kettle (seriously, saw the grime) and only cleaned it after I asked for a replacement. The bathroom quality was atrocious—I'd give it 1 star—the buckets and fixtures were cheap and worn out. You can get a much better 3-star experience for the same price. Management needs a major upgrade in quality control or they should downgrade their star rating immediately. The only positive note was that the breakfast was actually quite good.

Extremely unprofessional and irresponsible staff. We checked in on 30/01/2026 and checked out early next day by 9 AM. We accidentally left behind a Samsung original mobile charger. Despite clearly explaining exactly where it was kept, the hotel flatly denied finding it—without even properly checking with housekeeping. The Hindi-speaking receptionist and the so-called manager Revanna were rude, arrogant, and completely uninterested in investigating. Instead of verifying facts, they blindly relied on staff statements and accused us of making a false allegation. The manager openly said they are least bothered about negative reviews and mocked customers saying that threatening reviews is all they can do. No courtesy, no accountability, no professionalism. If a hotel cannot even make a basic effort to trace a missing charger worth ₹3,500, one wonders what would happen if something valuable like jewellery went missing. Shockingly poor attitude toward guest concerns. Absolutely not recommended.

Service was great! We went in prime time (Mysore dasara) rooms seemed too small and unhygienic (walls were dirty and beds seemed a bit uncleaned felt like oyo cheap room, no view from window). If you are coming by car then try taking luggage out before parking as there is no lift or anything from parking and its 2 floors at bottom (seemed very unorganised) After we checked in we took the car 2 floors down and they asked to bring it back - to get back you need to take stairs or come from parking path. So overall had to take 2 floors up and down over 7-8 times as we went to explore the city.

We stayed at Rio Meridian, Mysore for one night while returning from our family trip to Kerala/Wayanad to Bangalore, and it was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. The room was extremely unhygienic and poorly maintained. There were cockroaches in the room, stains all over the counters, and the overall cleanliness was unacceptable. The bathroom was in terrible condition — not cleaned, wet floors, and even the health faucet was broken and fallen down. Most concerning, both my 5-year-old son and I experienced itching and allergy symptoms while lying on the bed, which clearly indicates poor hygiene and lack of sanitization. Housekeeping and service were equally disappointing. During dinner, some chutney spilled on our table. We called room service repeatedly for nearly an hour, but no one came. We had to eat on the dirty table. Even after multiple follow-ups from my husband, staff arrived after a long delay and cleaned the table poorly using a dirty cloth. The front desk staff during checkin was extremely rude, unhelpful, and dismissive. Despite having a guaranteed late checkout (pre-informed due to our long journey with a child), we were repeatedly pressured to vaca

We stayed in this '4' star (??) hotel on 6th September in room number 2007 for a night. I just wonder how they are displaying the four star rating without any four star amenities. The hotel itself is in shabby look with cracked floors, dirty curtains, dirty bathrooms, dirty linen, very dirty glass, plates and crockeries. No welcoming of guests. Very arrogant reception staff. None of the staff looks like qualified in Hospitality. Even a 2 star hotel have much better appearance. The room was maintained very poor with a disgusting appearance. Poor quality curtains looks to be not washed for years. They are providing water which is not good for mouth washing. Extremely Disappointing Experience from a so called four star hotel. Since the hotel is situated in a prime location, people are booking this hotel hoping a four star treatment, only to get cheated. The star rating must be reduced to 2 star immediately. We asked our tour operator to refund our money paid for 4 star facilities. They are providing breakfast in the terrace which is poorly maintained and with lots of waste disposals and the food was unhygienic. We are really shocked to see the dirty glasses for juice in the morning.

One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. The staff, especially Revanth, were extremely unprofessional. He didn’t even allow us to negotiate for an early check-in, and the way he spoke was completely unacceptable – very rude and lacking basic manners. The rooms are nowhere close to what they show in the pictures, and to make it worse, they smelled old and unpleasant. Overall, a terrible experience. If Rio Meridian wants to retain customers, people like Revanth really need to learn how to talk to guests and handle situations better. Definitely not recommended
