“1. The lady at reception gave me a hard time over checkout. For 30 minute delay in checkout, she asked for 500/- delay checkout charges and spoke rudely about the same. Not the way to handle customers. 2. Hot water kettle has insect in it. It was never cleaned. 3. Toilet was terrible. Water was getting logged in the shower area. 4. AC had issues as it wasn't working properly. 5. Complimentary breakfast was not good either not enough for all my family members. I had booked 7 rooms for my family and they couldn't cater all of them. I would never recommended my friends and family to stay in this hotel.”

Service was a joke; they offered body wash in sanitizer bottles instead of soap. 🧴 Location was alright, but overall, definitely not worth the penny. 💸

Binoj K★★★★★Don’t be fooled with the reviews and photos, Rooms look too old, Not properly maintained.. I had a very disappointing stay at this hotel. The room was far from comfortable. As soon as I entered, there was a harsh smell of air freshener which was unbearable and lingered the whole night. The AC was extremely old and hardly effective, while the ceiling fan was covered with dust. The bed was hard, the blanket looked dirty, and the towel provided was worn out with a bad smell – definitely not usable. Even the drinking water was of some unknown brand, which did not feel safe to consume. Overall, the room had no proper ventilation, making the stay very uncomfortable. For the price I paid (~₹1900), this was absolutely not worth it. In Mangalore, you can easily find much better rooms at the same or even lower rates. Unless major improvements are made, I cannot recommend this hotel.

Rajalaxmi Pai★★★★★“From Regulars to Regretful: A Stay to Forget at Treebo Papillon Palace” We’ve been loyal guests of Treebo Papillon Palace for years, but this time, the hospitality took a nosedive. While the location remains a plus, everything else seemed to be in “downgrade mode.” The receptionist was less of a host and more of a human calculator, meticulously measuring every minute when we requested a simple two-hour checkout extension. The staff shortage was evident—you need patience (and maybe a survival kit) just to get basic requests fulfilled. As for the room? Let’s just say nostalgia hit hard—because everything from the bedspreads to the bathroom cleanliness seemed stuck in the past. Toiletries? Nowhere to be found. Clean toilets? Wishful thinking. The complimentary breakfast was another misadventure. The coffee, dispensed from a vending machine of questionable hygiene, tasted like disappointment with a hint of regret. Overall, this stay was a far cry from our previous experiences. Unless management wakes up and smells their own coffee, we won’t be checking in again anytime soon.

The room had an unpleasant odor, and all the furniture was too dirty. The receptionist was rude and didn't know how to handle a special request. The overall service and cleanliness were very poor. They provided unclean towels with multiple holes, and when I informed about a mosquito in the room, they gave me an empty mosquito machine. They don't provide a toiletry kit. Breakfast area was unclean. The service was pathetic. I do not recommend this hotel.

guruprasad kukian★★★★★The management is very bad and aloof. they don't have answers to simple questions and the concept of service and guest management is alien to them. We booked the hotel when agaoda and treebo promoted 24 hr check-in. But it is far from reality. we had to wait 4 hrs to check in and it was not just us but 2 different sets of guests who got the same treatment. People checked out in front of us but the hotel showed no urgency to prepare the room for the waiting guests. when questioned, they very indifferent answers for the lack of planning and service. I would not suggest the place to anyone, be it a solo traveller or family. And a piece of advice to Agoda to do regular hygiene checks on the listers too. so that they stay true to the claim mentioned on the website and app.

Nandisha Krishnappa★★★★★*Extremely Disappointing Stay at Treebo* This was one of the worst hotel stays of my life. The air conditioning didn’t work, and we had to switch rooms three times due to unhygienic conditions and malfunctioning AC units. The Wi-Fi didn’t work either, adding to the frustration. The beds were unacceptable – two single beds joined together were provided for a couple, and despite repeated requests, they were not replaced. To top it off, the staff’s behavior was appalling. They argued with my wife over a small mark on the bedsheet, demanding ₹450 as a penalty, which we refused to pay. Pathetic service, unprofessional staff, and poor facilities. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Avoid at all costs.

Tki Tours Mumbai Office★★★★★Hello. I don't know if the management even sees the reviews. Large rooms with no meaning . As a very basic indian need of Chai or coffee is not available. No service for anyone to get it. Even thre lady receptionists tells me to go out and have it. Even an unlisted lodge has errand boys to get any food/beverages to the room. Here i found all to be very unenthusiastic. Bedsheets Smelly is another thing here. Yusuf Ali Stay from 20-23July 2025 Room 305. Treebo papillon hotel Mangalore.

Craig P★★★★★Not recommended. Don't believe the reviews/ ratings. I paid in advance based on the reviews. The hotel entrance / reception is not visible from the main road. Reception is in the common underground parking for a building complex. Some staff are rude and unhelpful. The treebo online team handled my complaint well. Most soap dispensers are empty or do not work so carry your own soap. The room is spacious and clean.
