Suggest to consider a genuine review I visited this property on 6th July. The checkin experience after a long drive was pathetic, unprofessional staff and completely intolerable. Most of the things mentioned in the part of amenities are yet to be even made or maybe not even started. No safety locker for the most expensive room that I booked, no pillow choice , no toiletries, water to be refilled by the guest from the lobby, like the worst thing for a hotel charging premium. Location is too isolated. They have a list of instructions which in itself is a task to read. TV doesn’t work and when it starts working , no channels

Room and the elevator has some bad smell which has to be fixed. The exhaust fan in toilet has sound which irritates.they restrict materials causing foul smell but what to do if they itself produce the smell. Complimentary breakfast is good. The cost for this room is 5000 which i feel is 5 time higher as i stayed in i palace hotel nearby previous night which was very good for the price of 1500.

I stayed here during a Dec'21 weekend. By the looks of it, it might seem to be a good place with good service (also basis other reviews). But I had a terrible experience. 1. Facilities just seem okay. Nothing great about it. 2. Found some mosquitoes in the night. 3. Cafe is really bad. Complimentary breakfast is yuck. They say closing time is 10pm and shut it by 9.15 or 9.30pm. 4. I had requested for 1 day extension right from beginning. But the receptionist got an enquiry for 2 rooms and he had given it to them because of better revenue. In the end, I was forced to take another room by paying 1k extra for it. Clearly shows their attitude towards customers under these circumstances.

My experience booking a room at the Sunyata Eco Hotel was disastrous. I had first spoken to the night manager and booked a room by paying whatever advance amount I was asked to. Come morning, they requested more money as they apparently double booked and had o shift me to another room. Upon standing my ground, they offered me a mere discount of 200 rupees and asked me to pay almost 2000 rupees additionally for a room. The person at the reception did not allow me to speak to the manager either saying that he is busy and will be available in the evening. After so much back and forth, they offered a decent price for another room, however, I did not end up booking it due to their already poor service. Despite their mistake, not once but twice, they were adamant on not being able to do anything about it. I do not know what it is like to stay at their hotel but please beware of such establishments who will very conveniently ask for more money under the pretense of a mistake.

It was worst experience at this hotel. Pro’s: 1. New place 2. Though they don’t have a in house restaurant, the breakfast they served was great. Cons: It took 1 hr to check-in We were 3 families.. booked 4 rooms and 2 additional beds for small kids. Children have to sleep on the floor with just mattress. No cots available. They only option from Mr. Lokesh at front desk is “If you dont like you can leave.” This after you travel for 5 hr with kids. We booked for 2 nights, had to cancel for 1 night and return home. We waited in reception for 1 hr to check in. 1. The worst service ever. Mr. Lokesh at front desk does not even know what is a hotel. 2. Its a no service hotel. You have to do everything by yourself. Even if you need milk for your baby, you need to go down and pick it up. 3. Location is inside the city. There are several places inside coffee estates. 4. There is no food at this place. If you need dinner you need to order at 3:00 pm. We checked in at 3:30 after a long drive from Udupi. There is no food and we missed ordering for dinner no. 5. They have strict no service policy. So if you are late reaching there or stuck at a tourist place, guest will be in trouble. 6. ONLY

Its all the hype which leads a less then even a mediocre experience. Not so clean room, lots of insects/mosquitoes at night so that you cant sleep and noise from other rooms which will make your night sleep a nightmare. Location as per Chikmagaluru not so cool
