The uncle who manages this hostel behaves very rudely. I stayed at the hostel for three days, and my experience was disappointing. On the first day, I checked in at 2 PM. The second night, there was no power throughout the night, and no one from the management bothered to fix it. On the third day, I had some issues with my rented bike and informed another staff member about my delayed return. I reached the hostel at 1 PM. However, the old man confronted me and behaved very rudely for being late. This wouldn’t have bothered me if there was someone else available for check-in, but the hostel was completely empty, and I was the only guest there. He kept asking me to leave immediately or pay for an additional day, not even allowing me to stay in the lobby for five minutes. The younger staff member who manages the place is polite and helpful, but this old man’s behavior ruined the entire experience. He lacks basic manners and professionalism. I am very disappointed.

I recently stayed at a dormitory in Chickmagalur and had an excellent experience. The owner was incredibly humble and welcoming, making us feel right at home. I will give it a 5 star basically for its price point. Just 300 bucks for a 6 bed dorm and 250 for 14 bed dorm and that's so cool. The washrooms are quite hygienic so are the beds. Also this place is in the middle of the town and all the cafes and restaurants are nearby. Kailash Prabhat Restuarant is in the same building and this place is right above their kitchen. I went to the other available backpacker hostel in Chikmagalur , however that's quite far from the town and expensive.
