We booked Prajwal Homestay for the long weekend around 15th August2025 , since we cannot usually take days off due to work culture. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing and did not justify the cost. We paid ₹16,500 for 2 nights for 5 people, which was quite expensive due to the holiday rush. Basic facilities were poorly maintained – the basin tap was shorter than the sink edge making it hard to wash hands, and the commode was broken (video attached for reference). Zero hospitality or service – on arrival, instead of offering drinking water or a warm welcome, the host immediately started pushing his auto service, quoting ₹7,000 for 2 days, even though we had our own car. He insisted that exploring by car would be difficult due to traffic, but we managed to cover everything comfortably in our own vehicle. At checkout, there wasn’t even a goodbye or thank you once the payment was made. If you’re someone who prefers a good stay with nature and a clean, relaxing environment, I would not recommend this homestay — not even at normal prices, as the surroundings are not very clean or peaceful. Unhiegic , not worth even for 1500. Not worth staying. No service. Don't go with pictures. Not worth for . Too much insects and lizards in side rooms because of two big lizards my wife didn't sleep for whole night.More noise from out side.prawal is whole negligence and have more carelessness

Most UN-professional person. We had booked the 2 room for 2 family 20 days before going to hampi, On the day of arrival he says he has given room to some other person. (In between we had multiple conversation as when we will be ariving and kept record on whats app chat). Firstly the room was expensive and secondly, he then tries to accommodate us by shifting to other rooms (belonging to his friends/vendors) at same cost which usually comes at much lesser.. It was really difficult with kids to go through such experience!! .

The worst place possible..no amenities..when asked for extra bedsheet gave a crushed dirty one..asked for tea and gave a small cup of pathetic tea..and when asked for more sweet the young owner prajwal says this is what we have and not interested to serve more..very very poor service..didn't attend calls when we needed help..no soap ,clean sheet, and dirty room which he refused to clean..most pathetic attitude and rude behaviour..we had booked seeing the review but felt it my duty to report it correctly here..

Been there for 1 night, during 31 March - 1st April [Off season]. We were the only guest and since it was off season room was of 1.7k INR only. Room was clean. Owner boy was quite rude, he was acting like gave us room for free. Auntie was good for first day next day, she treating us like untouchables asked us to keep keys in boundary, our luggage having laptop kept outside in galley despite of saying it has important things. When asked for food they said in season there are more people hence we cook tasty food (if you going off season they not gonna spare you a thing), Now can't give you the food. I'm not sure how people giving 5 stars for us it was bad behavior by owners. Recommend this during season[July-March] only otherwise owner won't treat you well.

Near to Hampi Heritage site, few hundred meters away from the main road making it away from the traffic and sound. Newly constructed, not disabled friendly as it is in first floor. UPS allows fans and lights to work during power outage. AC is working well. Drinking water provided. Hot water also provided. Good views from the balcony Bathrooms are clean and dry. One of the bathroom has Plumbing issues and hence gives put a foul smell, Prajwal and his mother take care of you well. Parking is outside the house on the road. But seems ro be secure. Prajwal has an auto at his disposal who can take you around. There is a cycle in rent nearby as well. Lack of furniture and cloth hangers kr a proper cupboard might be a disadvantage if you stay longer. But for a day or two it's really recommended place at decent rate.

Service provided was very good. Food was delicious. We had breakfast and dinner. Frequent power cuts are there but there is inverter. Hosts were professional. However auto ride and rooms were highly priced and over expensive. It was basic and not worth the price. Must be due to festival (dasara) season. I felt it was almost double of the standard price. Overall stay was very pleasant and very good service provided by the host Prajwal and his family.

We had a comfortable stay at Hampi. Mr Raja and family were extremely helpful. We went around Hampi with Mr Raja in his auto and he planned the entire trip so well for us. It was like a stay at home.
