Good place for a family 8-12. Food is light and edible with limited variety & we should not expect a hotel type.Host Sandeep is also a good person and caring. Overall a family location.with lot of places nearby to be visited like Annaporneshwari Temple, Sringeri, Movie shooting point is really close.

The homestay is tucked away from hustle and bustle. It was so beautiful with roses, and other plants around, and soothing with chirping of birds and peacock calls. The owner was very friendly and warm, always ready to provide whatever was in the locality's capacity. The cook Sanjay, deserves a special mention for his yummy healthy food. Room I would say was basic yet clean and just enough. Good number of neat beds to accommodate a family of 4 comfortably. Bathroom provides the basic. If you are expecting anything fancy or latest design trend perse, this cannot be the place for you. Campfire, music, morning treck through the estate to a catch up with sunrise and scenic views. It was breath taking with mist running past you hiding and revealing the valley below with wind. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and it was a good break from our busy lives

Place is calm and very serene. No restrictions on playing music 🎶 n all. Host is a very humble person. There is a separate area for camp fire 🔥. This is set up upon guest’s request. Also, there is an absolutely fantastic view point downside the hill 3-4 km from the homestay. Viewpoint is curved green grassland with mountains all around it

Amazing place to stay. Personally I love places which are off limits, and this place meets that expectations perfectly. It is a Homestay inside a 20 acre coffee plantation. The surrounding area is very beautiful and serene. All coffee estates. The owner Mr Sandeep is a great guy. Very polite, humble soft spoke and humble. He allowed us an early check in at 7 am as our bus reached Chikamagalur very early. He also picked and dropped us for a minimal amount. I was worried I will get good vegetarian food, but I love it as it was homely and very delicious. The dosas with chutney were heavenly. Definitely recommend this place.

We stayed there for 3 days and 2 night with family including senior citizen and kid. Highly recommended. Their hospitality, tasty food (must try neer dosa and fish fry). The Sandeep (owner) is very down to earth. Provide all required helps. Nearby there is one tracking place which sandeep will take you through lush green coffee estate and finally on the top you can see amazing sunrise. We able to sight around 12 Biden from top of the hill. Recommended place for family as well as bachelors.

Makodu greens homestay chikmagalur karnataka, I can say one of the best homestay I have ever visited we stayed during our time in chikamagalur! Good place for a family. We were warmly welcomed by the owner mr sandeep and their niece ms gowri gowda when we all arrived, the staff was extremely friendly, the homestay was very flexible (appreciate this!) and the homestay owner (mr sandeep and their niece ms gowri gowda ) deserves a special thanks,we had three great evenings here. The second day we did a village trekking and visited view points and water falls which was guided by ms gowri gowda . We truly enjoyed walking the five of us through the village. The scenery was beautiful and it was a relieve to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment. The natural bath on the end was a great way to end the trekking. Note :- best food and the owner is very friendly. You can order the food of your choice if you want ,authontic food specially nonveg and good service felt like home gesture feeling. There is a separate area for camp fire 🔥. This is set up upon guest’s request. This is not a 4/5-star homestay or so, but the atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home

Location- 18 km away from Chikmaglur city. Inside coffee estate. Homestay is covered with coffee tree and black pepper tree. No pollution, no hustle bustle of city Life. Your day will start with chirp of various colorful birds, even you can see peacock. All major sightseeing are within 30min distance. Food- Awesome cooking by the owner Sandeep and his family. Very tasty south Indian cuisine. Hospitality- Sandip and his family will make you feel that your staying in some of your close relative's house. From check in to check out the hospitality was commendable. Cleanliness- Very clean and comfortable beds. Facilities- Badminton court, place for playing cricket, Camp fire area are the icing on the cake along with all other facilities that you expect form a remote homestay.
