It was our last day of 4 days trip to Udupi and mangalore when we decided to spend last day in the resort to relax. It all started with very cold behaviour of receptionist.He was not at all professional and welcoming. Rooms were decent but the property was not well maintained and clean. Every where there was dust . There was no valet parking and not even a single person came to help us for parking. Breakfast experience was pathetic. There was very less spread and what ever was available,it was not up to the mark. We asked for Jam with bread . Staff said Jam is finished in the store. Somehow we managed to get butter. Coffee/tea was not hot. Staff said machine is not working. After paying a good amount if you are not able to enjoy the property and food ,then there is no significance of staying in resort. If you want to order something,prices are crazy high and quality and quantity is not good. While leaving the resort, receptionist didn't ask even once about the experience. It was very cold behaviour of him. All and all ,very bad and disappointing.

I stayed at UVA Meridian recently and was extremely disappointed with the staff. From the moment we arrived, the front‑desk team was curt and dismissive, offering no greeting or assistance. When we asked for basic information about local attractions, they responded with a flat “I don’t know” and showed no willingness to help. Even after pointing out the lack of courtesy, they remained unapologetic and showed zero empathy. As tourists, we expected at least a minimal level of hospitality, but instead we were met with rudeness and indifference. This experience has ruined what should have been a pleasant stay, and I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Rating: ⭐☆☆☆☆ (1/5) My stay at Uva Meridian Resort was extremely disappointing and not worth the money at all. Hygiene was very poor, especially in the room and bathroom. There were cockroaches everywhere — inside the wash basin, near the sink, and even near the drinking water bottle area. This is completely unacceptable for a resort that claims to offer quality accommodation. To make things worse, a broken glass left behind by a previous occupant was still kept in the room, which clearly shows that basic room cleaning and inspection are not being done before handing over rooms to guests. The bathroom condition was unhygienic, with visible stains and insects, making it very uncomfortable to use. This is a serious concern, especially for families. The food quality was also very poor — tasteless, limited options, Definitely not what you would expect after paying resort-level prices. Overall, the resort lacks: • Proper housekeeping • Basic hygiene standards • Quality food • Value for money The attached photos clearly show the cockroach infestation, unhygienic sink/bathroom areas, and poor room maintenance. PLEASE AVOID ANY BOOKING Very unprofessional and inhuman host as they dont even care for personal emergency of their guests. Money is all that matters. We made a booking for family stay their but due to my daughter's health emergency couldn't visit. Later while speaking to them about the emergency, they were completely reluctant saying now they cannot do anything. This is the kind of respect they give to their guest and their situations. Never expected such inhuman response from any other place based on my prior experience with other properties. Better to not pay anything in advance and avoid misuse

Never book this resort . They cheated regrading the booking cancellation. I had booked 1 room for 2 nights through make my trip app. I had requested to cancellation the booking before 24 hours only. But make my trip told they are ready to cancel but these hotel management didn't cancel. Very poor management and I regret booking here.. gonna say everyone not to consider this hotel for bad services.

Hi, I visited the UVA Meridian Bay Resort in Kundapura during the third week of October, which was my second stay there. Unfortunately, I was shocked to find numerous cockroaches in our room—on the bed, the lamp, and in the bathroom. After contacting the staff, we were moved to another room, but the next three rooms also had the same issue with cockroaches, leaving us quite disappointed. Eventually, we were upgraded to a suite, which was a much better experience. However, overall, my stay was marred by these issues.

Looking at pictures and previous reviews decided to stay here. Executive room was having Musty Fusty smell. After we raised it, they shifted us to Club room, which was good. Indoor game room and gym was locked. Swimming pool was not cleaned and had moss. So we were sitting idle whole time in the resort. Place is Good for events like weddings, functions but not for stay.

Very Disappointing Experience – Not Suitable for Families We travelled all the way from Bangalore and booked our stay after seeing the photos on the website, but the reality was extremely disappointing. The room had a very strong, unpleasant smell — almost like it had been sprayed with chemicals or medicine. We checked other rooms too, and unfortunately, all of them had the same issue. In website they mentioned there is play area and amusement park but play area is not maintenance and amuesment park operated only weekends which is not mentioned anywher Additionally, there is no lift, which makes it very inconvenient, especially for families or elderly guests. Please think twice before booking this place, especially if you’re travelling with family. Definitely not what we expected.
