“Extremely Unsafe, Inhuman & Rude Behaviour by Owner risking a woman's safety at night. I had one of the most disturbing travel experiences at Hampi Green Hills Resort, entirely due to the resort owner’s extremely rude, irresponsible, and inhuman behaviour. I had booked and paid for our room nearly 2 months in advance through an online booking platform. On 27th Dec 2025 till 30th Dec 2025, after a 6-hour road journey from Badami, my husband and I reached the resort around 7:30–8:00 PM on our two-wheeler. The moment we parked, the owner immediately drove us away from the entrance saying “No online booking” — without even asking our name, booking reference, or the website we booked from. He repeatedly claimed that he had written a cancellation letter one month earlier to MakeMyTrip and Booking.com. When we asked him to show this letter, he refused. Neither the owner nor any booking website ever informed us — no email, no call, no message, not even a day before. It was very clear that our room had been given to someone else at a higher rate, as it was peak tourist season in Hampi. “ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC & DISHONEST PROPERTY – DO NOT STAY HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES - HAMPI GREEN HILL GUEST HOUSE This is one of the worst experiences I have ever had with any hotel or homestay. We had a fully confirmed booking for one room from 27 Dec 2025 to 30 Dec 2025, booked through Goibibo, with a valid confirmation email. In spite of this, when we reached Hampi Green Hills Guest House on 27 Dec around 7:00 PM, the owner shamelessly refused to give us the room. He kept lying that the booking was cancelled one month earlier, but no cancellation email, message, or call was ever received. This was clearly a made-up excuse. The real reason: due to New Year (31st Dec) demand, they wanted more money. Our confirmed room was deliberately sold to another guest who paid a higher price. This is pure cheating and unethical business practice. To make things even worse, the owner and his associates behaved in an extremely rude, arrogant, and aggressive manner. There was zero accountability, zero professionalism, and zero hospitality. We were literally left stranded in the evening after traveling, despite having a confirmed booking. This place is not run like a hotel — it is run like”
