Why the score — what people flag
“Horrible management. During covid, when everybody was struggling financially, they still asked us to pay Rs. 9000/- every month. This was just for keeping our belongings in the room; they didn't have any expense in terms of electricity, food or water during those months. I'm so glad I left that place. Also, the warden is super rude and biased. Another story is about my friend who deposited her money in advance with Soukhya (she had none of her belongings there), but Covid happened and there was no need for a hostel anymore. Soukhya still refused to give back her deposit of about 30k. The owner kept ignoring her calls as well for quite sometime. This place is only profit minded. Ps: All the positive reviews here are from the management and their personal acquaintances. Most of them haven't even stayed there; the ones who did stay there're the people who gave them 1 star reviews. On another note: The food was good (maybe the only positive thing about the place, but I heard that the cook Deepak left already). The hygiene was okay too. Aditi Vijayvargiya★★★★★Worst food ever. Bad in quality. Staff is poor. Management don't take any action even after students' continuous complaints. No Wardon. Poor service. Girls are frustrated enough with the quality of food and staff. The worst part is the late replies from the management and no attention given to the issues faced by the students. (The only reason to write the review) And please don't rely on the previous reviews, this is the review on behalf of the girls staying there at present. This Exactly proves my point how the management behaves if this is what you have considered "not genuine" madam, it shows these things are not important for "you" to consider. Never mind. Thank you.

Abinaya G★★★★★The initial days experience was pretty good till the time came where I had to vaccate the PG due to personal reasons. Even after informing the owner and warden about it well in advance, they failed to return back my advance amount on the promised date. It was my fate that I was dependent on them to return back my deposit which was 15k by 5th Feb as I had to pay my rent for my new PG using that money. Even after explaining my situation to these people, they were lathargic and got back my deposit 5 days post the promised date that too after so many follow ups. Due to this, I had to pay fine in my new PG as I couldn't pay the rent on time. When they want us to pay rent on time every month, they should also be responsible to return back the deposit on the promised date. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.

Meghna Goel★★★★★I started my stay at soukhya from 1st march and I deposited 1 month advance and additional 5000 for maintainance, but I left in the month of march 2020 itself (stayed for 10 days only) because of lockdown in India. I told them in the beginning of April 2020 that I am leaving the pg but I couldn't take my luggage due to restriction of movement by government during corona, they denied the one month advance refund and asked for more rent for the month of April and May. It was a huge loss for me and they kept pressuring me to pay more even when I told them I'm vacating the pg and will collect my luggage as soon as government allows. At such difficult times,the owners were not cooperative at all, it was really bad experience. Other pg owners were much more cooperative compared to them Replying to you- You asked me to pay complete rent for the month of April and also gave a deadline of 2 days, that's not flexibility. You deducted my complete security deposit for the month of April and pressurised me so much for the rent of month of May. After asking many times you only agreed for 2000 less which is not the minimum amount you could have offered. I understand my commitment and bond to pay

Navya bhat★★★★★Stayed in this pg for just 2 months. Owner is really approachable and responsive. However warden is nosy and try to ask unnecessary questions which doesn't concern her. Below are my findings. Pros: Newly constructed building with spacious and luxury rooms with power backup and decent wifi facility. Cons: Mostly North Indian food won't be appropriate for a south Indian people. Maintainance charge will be charged as soon as you get in. However, room maintenance is not on point. Concerns are not addressed properly by warden. Not suitable for employed inmates and mostly suitable for students.

SURAJ MEHTA★★★★★My daughter stayed in Soukhya Girls Hostel while studying in Christ university Bannerghatta road campus. The hostel provides a very safe and congenial atmosphere. Free Wi-Fi, Gym, facility for printout and Good & hygienic food. Washing machine, fridge, TV room, the warden is good natured and listens and resolves issues. It is walking distance from Christ University. Particularly it is very safe place for your daughter.
