Dont book this property from any platform like MMT etc. Property owner has their own terms and they are not in sync with MMT platform. I booked rooms through MMT but property owner is not providing rooms and asking to adjust in dorms. Beware!

Chikamanglur was too good but the Homestay was costly af, they quoted 2.5k but later they agreed for 2K which was also high as per their service quality but we had to take it as we took the decision in hurry, Towels were not clean, even the idly dosa was not good. Electricity sockets were less didn't get the chance to charge my mobile. Dishes were not clean, didn't felt I should have eaten there.

While the location, food and service was good the room in itself was quite bad! Shabby linens and totally unclean Rooms! The area where we gather for food is kept in open so when it's rainy and windy it's difficult to have food there. The plates and spoons weren't clean. You can visit here only with friends and not with family!

Rooms, bathrooms were hygiene. All kind of games available like chess, carrom, volleyball, badminton etc. peaceful ambiance. Coming to sad part - food. Variety is so less that even we need to pay extra for starters. Under non veg, for lunch and dinner only chicken curry chapati white rice. Curry is for both rice and chapati. Nothing extra. And one sweet. And for Breakfast Upma and idly were available. Boring Breakfast. Taste is not ok. Below average. Disappointing is for starters per kg chicken 600 extra we have to pay. I really don’t recommend this place for foodies.

The homestay is OK if you want to stay for a night. The road is feasible. The car can easily go till the homestay. They have good parking space also. Rooms are spacious. No AC but if you are visiting during a good weather, you don't need AC. Caretaker is really good. Food was also good. They even arranged bonfire. It would have been more good if they had a swimming pool as well, could have enjoyed the stay more. The prices are bit high as per the amenities provided in the homestay. Overall, I would recommend this stay as the service was really good.

A great place to stay and disconnect from the busy fast paced life. The rooms were good but the mattress was stinking so they should take care of it. Staff was super friendly and food was above average. They have a dog "Jacky" who is super friendly and he literally took us for a property tour 😃

I visited Chikmangalaru with my family (10-12Apr) and stayed at Ira homestay. Let me share my experience: WHY Ira homestay: Great strategic location - near to all prime tourist spots yet far from all the traffic and rush. Located in the wilderness of coffee plantation that gives you an opportunity to drive offroad 100m to reach this beautiful and safe estate. Great place to relax, with kids getting busy in the available well maintained play area. The STAY: Very friendly house help - Umesh and Bharath 24x7 available at the property. Extremely down to earth and eager to support and proactively help you to ensure your stay is comfortable. Rooms were pretty big and bathroom was very clean (even though property is 5yrs old). If lizards do not bother you much - it is going to be one of the best experiences. Alternatively, you could carry a double bed sized mosquito net to solve this problem :) The FOOD: It was a delight to have home food and water far away from home. No extra masala, no spiciness, no heaviness but great in taste. Just like home, if your kid wants an omlette or a papad, you can get it :) The BUDGET: It may "sound" a little high (as always) but if you do the math consideri
