“Worst homestay ever seen !!!!! The homestay owner literally doesn't have basic manners !! He just entered a guest room in their absence without their permission and packed their luggage and kept outside !!!! Worst part is they also asked the customer to shift to other homestay as they have got a booking from an European couple !! So irresponsible behaviour by giving the room initially and later asking to leave the room as they got booking from a foreigner !! Incase if your booking this homestay , then please pack your bags before leaving to site seeing so the owner finds it easy to keep your luggage outside 😛 Luckily we got other hotel at the last moment.. Please keep another hotel as your backup incase if your planning to check-in to this homestay !!”

“BIG NO if you are looking for a peaceful stay this is not a place originally reserved this room for two nights, but on arrival the next day I was abruptly told to pack up and move to another unit. Wanting to keep the peace, I agreed—but that’s where the nightmare really began. After a scorching day out, we returned to find the air conditioning completely broken. When we complained, the owner simply shrugged and told us to “wait and see” if it might sort itself out. Spoiler: it never did. To make matters worse, the replacement room was crawling with wildlife. I counted at least five lizards darting across the walls, and to top it off, a squirrel was scampering around on the ceiling. With a young child in tow, we endured sweltering heat and creepy-crawlies all night. We had no choice but to check out in the dead of night, tired, sticky, and thoroughly frustrated. Between the last-minute room switch, the non‑functional AC, and the wildlife invasion, this was easily the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Save yourself the headache (and the heat)—do not book this place. I have cal recordings of me confirming two nights clearly now dont write rubbish replies on my review accept th”

“After traveling for almost a month in South India, I can give an honest opinion about this place, whose price is beyond all expectations. At 3,600 rupees without breakfast, it's outrageous (they charged 150 rupees per person for coffee, a slice of bread, three pieces of fruit, and a small omelet)! The rooms have no soundproofing, no hot water, no Wi-Fi, no mosquito repellent... A very steep metal staircase impossible to climb barefoot. A lot of shoddy construction... Frankly, it's barely worth half the price! And the young owner dares to tell me that the price is high due to opportunism following the closure of Hampi's guesthouses... They're not exactly honest. They refuse drivers access for their morning bathroom breaks, even though the place is barely a year old (and already looks terrible). The only advantages are a decent bed and peace and quiet if you don't have neighbors. We gladly changed guesthouses (just ask the owner of Hampi Paradise).”

Vandan007★★★★★Ok, now this is going to be like an essay…get ready, it’s not the first time in homestay, couple of times in Leh, Darjeeling, Garhwal & Himachal Pradesh we have experienced. ||Pathetic homestay experience in Hampi (Karnataka)||Reached Lotus Riya Homestay/Shankar Homestay late evening on 2/1/2023 from sawantwadi (MH) five of us tired after driving 360kms. ||Three rooms were booked for 2 nights with Durgaprasad Lotus Riya, two double & one room single occupancy. First one to meet was Kavita. She said two rooms are in Lotus Riya and single occupancy is in Shankar homestay, we said this is not done. Kavita said right now Durga Prasad is not available he is gone out and actually Durgaprasad was standing next to us and saying ‘ Let’s not mess.’ It’s just for a night tomorrow single occupancy will shift with the rest. Before settling in the rooms we asked for dinner, bluntly said we have guests at our place so you order from Swiggy. There itself we came to know what service is coming in next two days. Morning tea will be served after 8am. I think I’ll write in short. ||1- Morning No drinking warm water was given inspite of asking. ||2- Shower nor taps were working properly. ||3- Hot water

swap2388★★★★★Very dishonest people....I booked 2 rooms from their official website and they cancelled after few days without any reason. Also did not refund booking amount. Owner says he is no longer associated with the website. Edit: Another lie in the reply. I called the owner regarding cancellation. He said he used to be associated with the website. How does it become fake? Also is it not responsibility of property owner to check what website reference is given on goolge business page? How would people know if it's fake? Owner also asked me to ping on WhatsApp where he was supposed to provide number of website operator. But did not reply to my ping till date.

Silpa K★★★★★I have booked the room using make my trip, after booking the Lotus Riya Homestay has send a mail asking us to cancel the booking since rooms are not available . Very bad service. If rooms are not available why they have listed in the booking sites. Snice Lotus Riya asked us to cancel the booking in the last min.. it was very difficult to find alternate stay.

Sys729★★★★★The managers would do better to focus on the essentials, like cleaning, before trying to maximize profits. They set a high price for the area, use pretty pictures that make it seem luxurious when it isn't, and then relentlessly pressure guests to leave good reviews. "Only give us the highest rating, because if ours drops, it will ruin our family." I'm not participating in this scam!

522franzi★★★★★Unfortunately, this accommodation was completely different from the photos, and I can't understand the good reviews. We were greeted rather rudely upon arrival. The rooms may have been quite nice at one time, but now everything looks very neglected. But the real shock came after our departure the following day. We had booked three nights through Booking.com and paid in cash on arrival. The next day, we received an email from Booking.com stating that the landlord had contacted them to say we hadn't shown up. So, beware: always ask for an invoice! Someone here is trying to make an extra profit.

teresastales★★★★★I can't believe these reviews. Though the location is lovely the property is not. It is shabby and badly maintained- particularly contrasting the owners new house next door! |I was initially given a room I hadn't booked. The room, though lsrge not actually dirty, looked down at heel and just not looked after. The bathroom had parts of the plaster separating from other parts and the shower unit was old and crusted up. I had to ask for tiles paper, a bin for the paper and, as night fell, something for mosquitos in the room. All of these have been available without asking in other, cheaper accommodation. ||I didn't find the manager particularly helpful though he did help me reach Mr Paul, who other reviewers had mentioned and was a terrific driver and guide on my 3rd day in Hampi.||The place was also much noisier than I anticipated as the children were crying and screaming a lot. I love to hear kids shouting at play but this was not that.|I had a tasty, but small, supper served downstairs in what seemed to be family space but on an old table that looked as if something had taken a bite out of one side of it.||I was so upset by Lotus Riya not being as expected that I moved after one
