Beautiful property on a sprawling coffee estate. Huge bungalow with 4-5 rooms and a professionally run kitchen. The food and kitchen services need to improve in terms of service. The beds we had we're very creaky I guess because it's old furniture but I would have expected them to be my maintained better. I still would recommend the place if you want an authentic coffee plantation experience. Do not go expecting modern resort facilities. The plantation itself is gorgeous with local Flora and fauna lots to see.

Wonderful estate, great food. Two best things of the place. The bunglow itself is not very good. It reminds you of govt bunglows of 1960-1970's. The rooms, fixtures and furniture could be way better than current state. Garden etc is very average. Coffee plantation surrounds you and walk in estate is must Toilets again need upgradation. It felt as if staying in govt bunglow. Overall a place which can deliver so much more but falls short on every count save for food and a feeling of living inside a plantation. It's a good place to go with 2-3 families. I would not rate it as value for money. For the cost, facilities, ambience and upkeep are not upto mark.

This was our second visit to this Tata bungalow. The bungalow is an old colonial cottage and like most such cottages, it's spacious. There are four rooms with an attached bath. This particular bungalow has two different types of accommodation and based on this the tariff differs. We chose the non heritage category this time. But we were quite disappointed with the condition of our room. It needed maintenance. Given the high tariff, we felt that the room should have been maintained. The USP of the bungalow is its location. It is at an elevation, secluded inside a huge coffee plantation and has mountains right behind the cottage. Food was delicious. Madhu did a good job. Natesh, the oldest staff in the bungalow was always very helpful. It was a good stay at Arabidacool bungalow and hopefully next time we visit it, the rooms will be in better condition.

The place is very beautifully located and has very helpful staff. Food is great. We had vegetarian fare and it was perfect, home made local cuisine. The rooms are big and spacious. However the rooms need some work. Seepage is visible on walls. Some doors don't shut. The plantation needs to take maintenance and general upkeep more seriously.

We stayed 2 nights in a Heritage room and had a wonderful time. The small number of staff were very attentive and the food was simply delicious (congratulations and thanks to Madhu). We went for a splendid short walk around the plantation and also got to meet up with the ladies harvesting. There were two Indian families staying at the same time who were just delightful company. Our stay was so enjoyable that it is a shame that we have to mention the slightly dilapidated state of the building and its fittings. The bungalow needs some TLC – a few Rupees spent on refurbishment would make this a really super place to spend a few days.

An ideal place for a vacation with family. The bunglow is located with beautiful views of mountains around with lot of greenery. The hospitality is above par. Good quality is excellent. The only negative point is the approach road within the estate for about four kilometres. A difficult terrain especially in the rainy season. A few species of birds can be cited in the mornings and evenings.

Our first trip after several months and we couldn't have asked for better service. Mr Kumar the property manager, Chef Madhu and Mr. Natesh the staff there do not have the words No in their dictionary. They went over and above what we asked. The food was homestyle cooking and absolutely delicious. Go for the local or simple cuisine and you will not be disappointed. If we required any tweaks, Chef Madhu would immediately do the needful.||In terms of the property it is super pet friendly, we had 2 pups with us and they had the most fun.||The property needs a little bit of upkeep, there are a few leaks and power trips were a slight issue but they are working on that.||I would also request that they put larger geezers or get the solar panel running because 3 of the bathrooms have lovely tubs but the geezers are too small to fill them with hot water.||But all these are small glitches. the service surpassed any 5 star property and O would strongly recommend a trip there.

Very nice place to relax. There are only 4 rooms which makes this place less crowded. Staff is very courteous. Morning plantation walk is must. You will get to learn about coffee, wild figs, why they are useful for coffee estate etc. Place has around 300 years old fig tree. Children's play area is available and badminton court as well. Last patch of around 2kms is rough with no tar road

Amã trails happened by chance. We were looking at an off-beat place to stay in Chikmagalur and we came across Arabidacool. Run by the Tata’s, the bungalow is a typical coffee estate plus the Tata’s hospitality. The Chef here was the highlight. He put together a beautiful spread to satiate the foodies in us. The staff were very polite and friendly. We were the only ones on the property that day, so the bonfire felt even more special. The guided tour in the morning was amazing. Dil wanted more of it (it was kinda short, just 50mins to an hour). Breakfast spread was very good and regional. The chef was from Coorg, so there were flavours from that region as well. The approach to the bungalow is a bit tricky. So please watch out. Tip: carry a good book.

Old Heritage bungalow run by Tata Coffee. Big rooms. Food served is just ok. You need to order it before you reach there. A bit pricey for the facilities offer as there are many better home stay around which offers better value and better food.

Calm location. Inside coffee plantation. Very hospitable staff. Good food. Good for people who want peaceful stay without city traffic . Located deep inside coffee plantation owned by TATA'S and nothing available in near vicinity. Approach road is not tarred for last 6 to 8 kms

Very special place to stay, unlike any other. Approach road is muddy slick - chef knows his veggies-awesome food. Only the billing for the lunch and dinner are not clear.
