These people have homestays where they charge you per head , one of thier stays that we chose was deep inside the forest -35 km away from Chikmagalur city . They promised us the whole villa with 3 rooms and 3 washrooms . We payed advance for it and when we reached location (coffee orgins ) the houseowner was already staying there with his wife . They denied to give 3 rooms , behind us on every move -we had no privacy . So we had a conversation about the issue with HOMESTAY ADVISOR receptionist . After some time the house owner started yelling at us to pay the remaining balance amount . We left the location and started calling the main office . They ignored us the whole time and denied to refund the advance amount . After about 20 calls and proper conversation with the customer care of homestay advisor .we got our refund amount. I don't recommend this at all

Don't believe on the homestay links and pictures they share with you..the homestay pics are so misleading. we went with family with lots of expectations from the homestay but was so disappointed after we went there because of misleading images. we had huge arguments to get our advance back and they returned half amount. very disappointed please don't fool us by adding fake pictures of homestay...or tell the homestay owners to post the correct pictures.would not recommend

Extremely pathetic service. They show different pictures, make false commitments and no after sales service. Avoid booking with them and go with trusted sites like Airbnb or Booking.

One of the worst home stay ever....please never try here.No proper maintenance.Owner is very careless, even if you make a complaint,he will just tell we are looking and give excuses to manage within us, he will spoil your vacation.Never ever try here.Take my advice.

Stayed at Shivdurga homestay, Kanchinakallu Durga, Aldur, Chikmanglur. Nothing is in order. Washrooms are dirty. On request hot water is switched on for few mins but switched off immediately. Room is not cleaned well after a check-out. Bed linen had lot of dust on it. Only Jio mobile network works in this place. Wifi passwords are not displayed anywhere (need to be requested). Breakfast and dinner are complimentary, but food timings are not displayed on communicated. The place is far away from all places of interest, except a 15min trail to a view point (see image). Families please avoid Shivdurga.

Home stay was quite far from main city about 22 km..Food was good( south indian style). Little disappointed for north indian. Hospitality was good. Both old couple were very nice toward my family.

We stayed at Apple tree homestay . Rooms were comfortable and hygienic . However there is a lot of scope for improving. Side table in rooms , bathroom stool, toiletries , variety in food - all required .
