My recent stay at this property was not as I was expecting. The property is old now and lacks maintenance. Dorms and bathrooms are not cleaned regularly as well. I don’t recommend this one anymore. Btw the front desk lady was polite.

I’ve stayed at many Zostel properties across India, but Zostel Mysore was honestly a very poor experience. There were only 2 washrooms, no curtains on bunk beds, and improper lighting—one of the lights wasn’t even working. The rooms had mosquito issues, and to make things worse, there was no toilet paper in the washrooms. Although the reception staff was humble and polite, the overall services were extremely poor. A group checked in late at night and created a lot of noise despite quiet hours clearly mentioned in hostels. Unfortunately, the staff did nothing to manage the situation, and we were disturbed the entire night. This stay was far below the standards Zostel is known for. Would not recommend this property to anyone.

I have stayed at this property multiple times and always had a good experience. The location is top notch and the host is friendly and welcoming. But I had a really bad experience with bedbugs during my recent stay here. I was assigned a bed in the dorm named Ajna 1 on the first floor. The bed was badly infested with bedbugs. When I brought this to the host's attention she promptly shifted me to a dorm on the ground floor. But even the bed here had bedbugs. I spent a sleepless night and checked out early in the morning. When I asked the host if other guests had complained about bedbugs, she replied in the negative. But I could see 5 reviews on Google mentioning the same.

Extremely disappointing experience - Avoid stay here at all costs. I stayed here with my friends and it was pre booked. It was one of the worst experience I've ever had. From the moment we arrived the receptionist was rude and unwelcoming. There was no sense of hospitality. To make matters worse, the place lacked some basic amenities like fans, hot water. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant or relaxing stay. You’re better off staying somewhere else where they at least treat their guests with respect and provide basic necessities.

It was the worst experience. We had made a pre-booking and informed them that we would arrive early in the morning. However, when we arrived, they didn't allow us to check in and asked us to leave, despite being tired from traveling for 6 hours. Later that evening, the rooms were very disappointing, with no proper fan facilities and geysers that weren't working properly. The only good thing was that the bed was comfortable. The TV they provided wasn't even turning on. The place was very congested. To add insult to injury, they increased the price we had agreed upon during payment and argued with us. To make matters worse, the owner was also very irritating.

Zostel Mysore gave us very bad experience. I have been to many zostels across india as a solo traveler. Incredible experience. This is my genuine review for zostel mysuru Someone opened my wallet and took all my money which was inside the bag, all though my bag was fully closed. I do not doubt on the roommates as they were out during that time and there was house keeping staffs inside . I checked with the receptionist (the lady) after checking out, her response was that she can’t help and she refused to even talk after I shared these things with her. Give that, Zostel has maintained good reputation, I didn’t expect this, how can someone open a bag and check our personal belongings. She Could've been polite and understand the concern. Was expecting a better response from her…So please make sure to keep your belongings carefully

DON'T COME, THERE ARE BEDBUGS!!! We woke up at 2.00 am with all three of us itching!! Bedbugs are openly crawling around the white sheets and the walls!!! We showed them to the manager and she showed us into a different room and went back to sleep. How to trust any Zostel across the country now?!!! :'((((

The receptionist Nagaratna was incredibly rude and felt like she didn't care at all about us. Her attitude was not acceptable at all. She forgot all the basic rules of hospitality to treat guests with respect and kindness. They have also messed up with reservation multiple times, causing so much unnecessary stress and frustation.

Please avoid this Zostel. I had a 1 night stay booked at this place but after actually visiting I found that the dorms were tiny, no cleanliness, people were smoking and drinking in the open garden, bathrooms were stinky and very unclean. The caretaker was smart enough to hurry up on our check-in process. Even though I was asking to show the rooms before, she involved us in the check in talks and took the complete payment (I had already paid advance over the Zostel app). The bunk beds in the dorms were creaky. The walls were moldy. Overall a very bad feeling. I checked out within an hour and went to another accommodation.

This hostel is falling in ruins. Found bed bugs all around the dorm, it was 10pm so couldnt leave then the owner told me to go to the other dorm. But it looks like she doesnt seem to care as she put other travellers in this same dorm the day after. Had to argue to get refund of the nights I would not do, she didnt Even refunded the night I spent.

Not zostel standards at all. Mysore has much better options. Not enough toilets. Kitchen is in bad shape with no basic things like plates spoons and glasses. This is a 6yr old zostel so the mattresses are completely worn out with the spring poking your back, my biggest nightmare. The staff are not hosts, they are not trained enough. Hope you change for the better.

The only good thing about this zostel is its location. The bunk beds are shaky and have very sharp edges. I got bruises as I climbed up and down each time. Also the ladders move. The smoking area is very close to rooms and it's very annoying to non smokers. The space in rooms very small. Not enough to even accomodate your travel bags. I experienced power cuts also during my stay. You get to meet good variety of people and hence the one star. I wouldn't recommend staying here at all.
