Very bad experience at Tusker Tribe, Mysore. There was no water available for bathing or even using the toilet, which is completely unacceptable. The rooms were not clean at all and hygiene was poorly maintained. There are unnecessary and rigid restrictions on check-in and check-out timings, with no flexibility or customer-friendly approach. On top of that, the caretaker was rude and unhelpful instead of trying to resolve the issues. Overall, it was a very disappointing stay and definitely not worth the trouble. Would not recommend.

The vibe they advertise (vibrant, adventurous, social) was nowhere to be found. Instead, it was just uncomfortable, dirty, and disappointing. For the price, there are much better backpacker options nearby with basic amenities like water, clean bathrooms, and friendly staff. Save your money and stay somewhere else. I wouldn't recommend Tusker Tribe to anyone.

Very disappointing experience. There was no water supply in the morning, which made it impossible to use the toilet or take a shower. This is a basic necessity, especially for a hotel. Because of this issue, we were forced to leave the hotel without taking a bath, which completely ruined our stay. The staff did not proactively inform us or resolve the issue in time. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable or reliable stay. Giving one star is also not worth it. Very poor management. Avoid this place.

Very ugly and rude behaviour of Gaurav, he's very careless and arrogant. Nor the rooms are neat, nor the bedsheets, pillow covers, no drinking water in dorms or in any floor, washrooms smell like hell. Suddenly out of air rules will pop out, there will be drinking bottles in rooms, very rude behaviour.

We had a very disappointing experience at this hostel. At check-in, we were denied our booked private room and were asked to take a dormitory bed instead, as it was already 9 PM at night. The staff promised that we would only be charged for the dorm bed and that a partial refund for the private room booking would be processed. The next day, we were shifted to a private room, but at checkout, they completely denied any refund and asked us to contact Goibibo instead. The room was nothing like the pictures shown online — no proper amenities, no real common area. In fact, the caretaker smokes cigarettes in the so-called common space, making it smell terrible and unusable. I would not recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a peaceful and stress-free stay.

The stay was fine but the management was rude.., we requested them for a late check in as our bus was late but he said it isn't possible, when asked for a refund he said no and said that they can't disturb the foreigners staying over there as a result we had to take a cab and rush from coorg to mysore at night, when reached over there there were no foreigners. He lied to us.. And there were no enough rest rooms, 11 people had to share it.

This property situated in a local colony and far from tourist places. They have taken a low budget apartment building and made this. There is no board outside of the building. Not sure they have necessary licence and permissions. Don't expect any backpackers hostel ambience here, felt like a college men's hostel. If you're looking for bed with pillow cover and bedsheets that's been slept on for a few nights, you can book here. NB: They will call you immediately after blocking the bed online, don't pay in advance without seeing the property.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience. It is not at all safe for the sole women travellers. No separate washroom facilities or safe room for women. It was more like a boys pg . It was poorly maintained and was unclean. The staffs and owner were showing a much attitude and were not ready to provide the basic needs

The rooms are decent but the management is inhumane, and very rude and partial towards foreigners. Spoke very rude when we asked to extend check in time because of the delay in bus but was giving preference to 10-15mins foreigners sleep against we spending whole night without shelter after paying entire amount well in advance. And he was giving false reasons for the extension of check in time. Highlight: The foreigner doesn't exist there.🙂
