Why the score — what people flag

We are staying at this property booked by viewing photo available online the property is exactly opposite of what it was shown. we decided to dine at Hotel Mayura Yagachi post check in. The place is extremely spacious but feels clearly understaffed. Hardly staff come to tables to attend the customers! Instead we had to reach billing counter! We heard this is a KSTDC unit, and unfortunately, it gave the impression of being managed like any other government department – below average and lacking basic attention to service. Our dining experience was quite disappointing. Many items on the menu were simply “not available.” We had very limited options and ended up ordering a few meals and egg fried rice. . The meals were just average, nothing to recommend. Overall, it was a very bad experience and certainly not up to the standard expected at a tourist spot. We strongly request the management and concerned department to improve food quality, availability, and customer service.

The staff were extremely courteous. They woke up at 2 am to allow us to check in to the property. Property manager Mr Pappanna was very helpful, along with the security person at the hotel. However, the first room they showed to us literally had fungus growing on the pillows!!! The sheets were extremely dirty as well. The second room too, was bad. We laid out our personal towels and slept on the bed. It is poorly maintained probably because of governments apathy. Would never recommend anyone to stay at this property. We complained to the property manager and he mentioned that he has been writing to officials higher up, for support with clean bedding among other things. But there is no response from the government. Hope this message reaches someone important in the government and they do justice for the nice property there is.

We visited Belur and Yagachi Dam, and on the way stopped here for lunch with 4 families. Due to hunger and limited options nearby, we decided to dine at Hotel Mayura Yagachi. I have been seeing this place loosing it over last 5 years, after government took over, it has only degraded!!! A resort like building has reduced to old bus stand like ambiance and the restaurant,, well one needs serious skills to make this food fast this worst!!! I will come back again to see if they ever improve!

Zero food quality. Taking order takes takes, atleast we expect someone to collect bill. But none responds. Room service is very bad! Nobody answers when questions are asked about issues. Has to improve alot!

Space looks spacious with good parking. The cleanliness of the rooms(stinky) especially the window and doors should be taken into care. There were lots of cob webs and insects which came from door. Irritating one- restaurant will have lot of flies and will not feel comfortable to have dinner and need to find table without bulb to avoid flies. Though the property looks standard but nothing inside as attached in photos. I don't recommend this place and should be avoided.

For tourism city like Belur, worst hotel ,, ample space is available to develop but no use As expected Government maintenance it was the same how it was in my thoughts.. pathetic restaurant unprofessional staff..beds were too old not fit to sleep on it , bath room condition is worst. Guys please be careful. Room is good. Other than that nothing. They gave wifi password which was not connecting inside room. So you can say no wifi. No food service in room. Restaurant food was just ok.felt cheated. Bed is also not king size.its double bed. And they said all rooms have same bed.

Location is pretty good. Food was terrible & restaurant service and as pathetic. Rooms were spacious however no towels and other consumables not provided by the hotel. The washrooms were very badly maintained no one was giving any cleaning services to it. All the staff was local we found communication was difficult. We will advice not to stay there for a single night. Totally waste of money

It was very pathetic experience, the property looks good from outside but the rooms are not well maintained. There was no hot water in the room. It was December and too cold outside, housekeeping person told us to wake up only by 6 a.m and switch ON the tap to get hot water. Still we got cold water and we had a baby with us. So i recommend not to take this hotel if you have one.

Bathrooms with unclean look. Poor hygiene. Floor with broken tiles plastered with cement. Blanket were not comfortable. Spend a sleepless night . I booked in this hotel with much expectations based on my good experience in Kodagu and Hampi resorts by KTDC but this resort was totally disappointing .
