The farm is on the outskirts of Mysore with the final stretch being a bit of a mud road. But don’t let that discourage you. A lovely place with lovelier hosts. We had the pleasure of staying here over a long weekend and had a wholesome experience. A tastefully constructed house with a serene farm surroundings where we could see peacocks and spotted deer ( we were told we were lucky to spot them ). The friendly doggies ( Chinna, Gowri and Don ) made it a lot more fun to walk around and explore the farm. Bahadur and Praveen were sweet and whipped up some of the yummiest meals we have had. The reading nooks with a good selection of books add to the charm. The highlight was the hospitality of the hosts ( Som and Dechu ma’am ) themselves who made us feel more like family with their warmth and conversations. It was very refreshing to see the love she had for the farm and the plants. We would definitely love to visit again.

Easily the best stay in Mysore. With the sounds of birds chirping and all that fresh air, I had to remind myself I wasn't in Coorg. :) We're definitely visiting again because staying just once doesn't do justice to this beautiful farmhouse. It's a beautiful home in a lovely, sprawling farm where we took nice walks. Som & Dechu aunty are incredibly helpful and wonderful hosts and its a treat to chat with them! Praveen and Bahadur took great care of us and whipped up delicious meals for dinner and breakfast. The stars of our show however, were Chinna and Don - their doggos who won us over in minutes! We (and our little one) miss them immensely already and can't wait to visit again!

Visited the farm recently and it blew my mind. Absolutely beautiful farm with plenty of trees. Mornings were absolutely blissful with the peacocks and a deer herd roaming the property. Great food and even greater hosts. Do check this place out if you’re looking for a peaceful home away from home.

Thank you for such a wholesome and heartwarming stay. The time we spent here felt like a gentle pause from everyday life. Every meal shared carried a sense of togetherness, and the Guava delicacies along with Dechu Aunty’s stories and recipes were such a delight. They made the experience not just about food but about bringing memories. Praveen and Bahadur’s care added so much warmth and comfort to our stay (special thanks for preparing meals for Mocha). Som added a spark of joy by encouraging us to take out cycles, bringing everyone together with board games and extra points for guessing that Mocha might partly be an Irish Setter. Mocha had the happiest time running free and making a friend in Chinna. Such a gentle yet ferocious being Chinna is. The sightings of graceful peacocks and deer around the stay, along with the soothing sounds of birds and peacocks in the background, made the whole experience feel even closer to nature. This weekend was everything we wanted to experience and some more. Thank you from Mocha, Yashika and Harsha ! ❤️

We stayed at Dechu auntie's farm house for about four days with our toddler and dog. I can't think of another holiday where we all felt so taken care of, with so much humanity and warmth. Dechu auntie is a thoughtful and kind host. Having her company over the days was delightful. We especially loved our meals together -- full of slow, meandering conversation about her rich and interesting life, among other things. The food was simple, fresh and tasty and hit the right spot every single day. Our room was spacious, thoughtfully stocked, comfortable and connected to a private sit out. Communication with the hosts was easy, warm and personal. Som was kind enough to share directions, and check in on us on the day we got in although he was away on work. The farm itself is a little paradise, perfect for long walks, plant-gazing, bird-watching, or just lazing around on the hammock in their gazebo. We were especially grateful for two things: that Praveen ji and Dechu auntie went out of their way to accommodate our toddler's needs -- especially with meals, and gave our 8 year old Labrador so much care and love that it was equally a vacation for her. We will definitely be visiting again an

A Serene Retreat with Incredible Hosts Dechu and Som are exceptional hosts who made our stay truly unforgettable. My wife and I felt completely at home and deeply cherished the heartfelt conversations we shared with them. The farm, located not far from Mysuru, has a tranquil charm that feels like its own little world. Adding to the experience is Chinna, their adorable dachshund, who doubles as the perfect guide for morning walks and a delightful companion for reading under the trees. The farm is alive with nature—peacocks, spotted deer, and a variety of other fauna grace the property, making every moment magical. Som is an outstanding chef who also crafts refreshing cocktails, and together, he and Dechu went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The food was exceptional—don’t miss the pandi curry! If you’re looking for a place to unwind and feel at home, this farm is the perfect retreat.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Kalpavriksha Farm Homestay in k.Hemmanahalli, Mysore, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Dechu Aunty and Som, who made us feel right at home. Their genuine hospitality and care truly made our stay unforgettable. This homestay is a paradise for families with children. Our kid absolutely loved the place! There's ample space to run around and explore the beautiful surroundings. The farm setting provides a unique opportunity for children to connect with nature and learn about farm life. Dechu Aunty and Som went above and beyond to ensure our child felt comfortable and entertained. They even took the time to play with our kid and share stories, making them feel like part of the family. The food was delicious and the service was so good. Great experience and comfortable stay.

Visited this beautiful farm with my wife and pet Lhasa apso. The hosts are really kind, friendly and pure souls. Som was extremely helpful while making the booking. Upon entering we were also invited by their pets Daschund, Lab and Indie who were friendly to our pet. The surrounding farm is an absolute beauty, we were able to see couple of deers, peacocks and lots of birds. Lot of flora and fauna to explore and tender coconut to drink 😇 10/10 for everything. We will be visiting again.

Kalpavriksha farmstay is nested amidst greenery and nature. You can spot peacocks, hornbills amongst many other birds and animals. The hospitality was so heart warming by Mr.Som and his mother, Mrs. Dechu. They are beautiful human beings who understand your needs much before you state them. We were thoroughly fed all 3 meals with different cuisines and desserts! Food was fantastic and I'm short of words to put it on words.. Rooms were spacious and extremely comfortable and attached to a balcony. It is a perfect getaway for people from Bangalore and Mysore and I absolutely recommend it for good food, good stay and good experience!

We have just departed from Kalpavriksha farm home stay and we are missing the tranquility already. We cannot recommend this home stay more highly! You will be welcomed by the most hospitable , friendly family. You will be given a very generous, spacious bedroom with a small sitting area included. These quarters are private from the household and has access to a roof top terrace. The meals cooked by Praveen and supervised by Dechu Aunty are some of the best food we have eaten in our 3 weeks in India. Som the manager was extremely helpful and provided us with much information about the area. Dechu is simply charming and runs the household like clockwork. The farm is situated in a very quiet area but has easy access to Mysore city. I can guarantee if you stay here you will leave feeling very refreshed and your heart full! Thank you so much Dechu Aunty, Som and Praveen for a very memorable stay at your Air bnb.

We stayed at this homestay for just a day, but wow, what an experience! Som and Dechu aunty are the ultimate hosts - they really know how to make you feel at home. We reached around 2:30 pm, and they had actually waited for us to have lunch together. Sharing that meal was such a warm and easy way to break the ice. The food? Absolutely fresh and homely. It was my wife's birthday, and funny enough, the guest in the other room had their birthday on the same day too! Som and Dechu aunty surprised us with a special dessert treat to celebrate. It felt so thoughtful and added such a personal touch to the day. The property itself is gorgeous - spacious, full of greenery, and perfect for a relaxing stroll. If there’s one thing I could wish for, it would be a walking track, maybe some tree labels, or even a small Miyawaki forest in a small portion of the land. That would take the experience to the next level. Inside, the homestay is just as impressive. Every little detail has been thoughtfully planned, from the beautiful artwork and souvenirs to the collection of books all in perfect condition, by the way (shows how much they care). They’ve even stocked practical stuff like a shoehorn -

We stayed here for one day. The hosts were very warm and welcoming. They took care of all our needs and the food was delicious. We played card games also together in evening. If you want to stay away from your daily hustle bustle life you should visit this place.
