Hi, I had booked a room for 3 nights (April 11 to April 14 – Saturday, Sunday, and Monday). I checked in on Saturday morning. Upon entering Room 308, I noticed that there were already 4 people staying there. Including me, the total became 5 occupants. As per your policy, a dormitory room is limited to 4 people, so I do not understand how 5 people were allowed. Secondly, at the time of my check-in, the other occupants were consuming alcohol and smoking inside the room. Due to the air conditioning, the smell was unavoidable and made the environment very uncomfortable. Despite this, I tried to adjust and rest for some time. However, in the evening, the same behavior continued. They were again drinking alcohol and even keeping full bottles inside the room. This is clearly against the “no alcohol” policy of the property. Due to these issues, I felt unsafe and uncomfortable staying in the room. I therefore decided to discontinue my stay and vacated the property. I request you to kindly process a refund for the unused nights, as I did not stay for the remaining duration of my booking. I also urge you to ensure that your stated policies are properly followed to avoid such situations for ot

Management 21

My recent experience at The Hosteller Marathahalli was deeply disappointing and has completely eroded my confidence in this specific property's management. I have been a loyal and frequent guest, staying at this property for at least 12 days a month over the past three months. The incident occurred early Friday morning (approximately 2:30 AM) following a late-night flight from Delhi. I arrived at the property, having booked a bed for the upcoming Friday night, but needed a safe place to wait until the official check-in time, as the hostel was full for the night prior (Thursday). I requested permission from the night manager, Irshad, to simply stay in the common lobby area until morning check-in. Manager Irshad refused my request and instructed me to leave the property immediately, stating that a new rule implemented 'one week back' prevents non-checked-in guests from waiting in the lobby. As a consistent, long-term patron who had already secured a booking, I found this complete lack of basic hospitality and common-sense accommodation unacceptable. Manager Irshad showed no willingness to help or offer any alternative solution to a loyal guest who was stranded in the middle of th

I am currently staying at The Hosteller Marathahalli and the experience has not been good. For the last 3 days, the water dispenser has no water, which is very inconvenient. On top of that, the WiFi in the room does not work properly. Basic facilities like drinking water and internet should be maintained in a hostel. Management really needs to improve these issues. Not a good experience overall.

The 1 star is only because of new update where I have to login and web check in every time for each day, even after extending my stay. And becz even after giving feedback My data is not stored n every time u have to upload my doc photos for check in. Being a regular customer I hate this update. Please remove Wi-Fi restrictions as well. For a working professional this is very bothersome

I had a very disappointing experience at The Hosteller Bangalore. Despite clearly requesting a lower bunk bed in advance due to knee pain, my request was not honored. What made it worse was that lower beds were visibly available, yet no effort was made to accommodate my situation. This isn’t the first time either—I’ve had the exact same experience here three times before. It’s extremely frustrating to see a repeated lack of consideration, especially when the request is simple, reasonable, and clearly communicated every time. If the lower beds are available, what exactly is the problem in assigning one to a guest who genuinely needs it? Climbing to an upper bunk with a knee issue is not just inconvenient—it’s genuinely difficult and uncomfortable. I expected at least a basic level of empathy and responsiveness, particularly given my prior experiences. This consistent disregard for guest needs reflects poorly on the overall service and management. I strongly urge the management to take such requests seriously going forward, as small accommodations like these can make a significant difference in a guest’s comfort and trust.

Hello Team TH, It may be a No Show, as you rightly pointed put, however, the review also reflects the transparency and fairness - which was completely lacking based on my experience during booking through the third party service, who also happened to reach out to you on my No Show related issues.

I had pre-booked this property for a week, but unfortunately, due to the ongoing Indigo flight cancellations, I was unable to travel as planned. I reached out to the hotel requesting flexibility on the cancellation charges, considering the situation was completely beyond my control. However, they declined the request, citing a strict cancellation policy. While I understand policies exist for a reason, I was hoping for a more empathetic and customer-friendly response during an unforeseen situation. Disappointed with the experience.

The rooms are amazing, very clean and neat property. Very near to the skywalk and lot of restaurants. But the check in staff is rude and unwelcoming. Taking guests for granted. Wifi doesn't work at all, if you plan to work don't book. The accessibility is a issue here. If it rains you are done, the road will be flooded and full of dirt.

The reception staff are bad and not respectable to guests. They act as if they are doing favour by letting us stay . The bathroom sink was leaking. Wifi doesn't work it's been a week. The road leading to hostel is very bad condition. Please don't book and regret.

The bed was already used. When complained to check in staff they acted as if they couldn't care less. They act as if they own the hostel. The security guard doesn't do his job. Random people were entering the building. One person in my dorm was drunk and talking loudly. I wanted to work but no WiFi. There was some renovation going on and very noisy. Don't book if you want peaceful stay.

Very unsafe for women. Especially solo travellers. The reception people are very unprofessional and uninterested in creating comfortable setting. They act as if they are owners. I ran into drunk people few times while using lift. Very uncomfortable and unsafe. Road is very sketchy especially at night. Never expected this from Hosteller.

The rooms are good. But the staff in reception is very bad. They don't think of it as a hospitality but as a favour. The road to property is really bad especially when it rains. The wifi never works, so don't even think of working from here.

The common area utilities like pool table areee supposed to be for the customers. But you will find the staff using the pool table specially at night time.
