“I had booked 3 dorm beds in a 4-bed dorm for me and my friends. When we reached the location the staff tried to send us to a 10-bed dorm and he only relented after we argued for a 4-bed dorm. When we entered the 4-bed dorm it was extremely dirty. Our co-guest who had booked the 4th bed had left half eaten guava on one of our beds. The washrooms were beyond usable and a rat almost scared the hell out of my friend. We ended up staying somewhere else and checked out of the dorms without staying in them. We didnt even get a refund. Giving them one star because 0 is not possible. Giving one star for location purely out of spite. Location was quite good.”

“Third rated place, staff is very arrogant, especially the restaurant staff. Reception counter staff is useless. Rooms are very untidy. No housekeeping staff is available. Not at all cost worthy. Restaurant menu rates are too high, prefer eating outside, with better quality and reasonable rates.”

“😡 Worst Experience at Hotel Mayura Bhuvaneshwari - Bedbugs and Unhygienic Conditions I'm shocked and appalled by the disgusting state of Hotel Mayura Bhuvaneshwari. Stayed in Room 302 on 2nd March 2026, and it's a nightmare I'll never forget. The deluxe AC room had bedbugs 😫, making it impossible to sleep. Attached photos show the infestation. Charged ₹4000 for this experience? Outrageous! A ₹500 lodge would've been better. My wife and I got skin infections, wasting money and ruining our Hampi trip. Management, please address this. Very disappointed. 👎 1/5 stars - Would NOT recommend.”

“BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE!! I will break it down in points for you 1. We made late check in... it was totally dark at the reception... did not seem safe. 2. Staff was unwilling to help with the luggage. 3. There was no hand wash and when asked for it he said it will be given in the morning, same for the hand towel. 4. We had 4 rooms. The lock of one of those rooms was not working. 5. Rooms were not fresh and had damp smell. 6. Lid of the toilet seat was broken in one of the rooms. 7. Drain pipe in one of the wash basin was detached. Had to fix it ourselves. 8. Linen had stains and dead insect was found in it so I think linen was not fresh. 9. Housekeeping staff was very loud while working that totally disturbed out sleep. 10. Chairs outside the room were covered in bird droppings. THIS SHOULD BE DELISTED FROM MMT!! if you still decide to book this property then God save you.”

Mahender Reddy Yasa★★★★★Overpriced and disappointing – Save your money I recently stayed at Hotel Mayura (Dom House 1) after booking through Agoda, and it was a major disappointment. We paid ₹6,300 per night, but the value simply wasn't there. * Booking Issues: Agoda charged us immediately but failed to provide specific details about the "Dom House" accommodation, only mentioning bed details. * Room Quality: For the premium price, there was no view, no Wi-Fi, and the hot water was inconsistent. * Dining: We ordered the paneer curry for dinner, and it was honestly the worst I’ve ever had. * Better Alternative: If you are visiting the area, I strongly recommend Hampi Lake House instead. I stayed there previously for only ₹4,200; the building is brand new, they include a complimentary family breakfast, and the overall experience is far superior. Avoid Hotel Mayura if you’re looking for basic comforts and fair pricing.

Shivaji Bhosale★★★★★Very bad experience at Hotel Mayura Bhuvaneshwari. The room charges are extremely high, but the services are very poor. Rooms are not maintained or modernized, and the wall paint is peeling off. There’s a bar inside the premises, which makes it uncomfortable and not suitable for families with small children. Totally disappointing experience — I would rate it 1 star out of 5.

P R (PR)★★★★★Among the worst in KSTDC Mayura Hotels. Earlier at Mayura Hotels they used to give a dressing kit with comb, toothpaste, tooth brush, use and though chappal etc. all were missing. Even bedsheet and blankets were not that clean. Usually at every room ( as I coud see ) atleast there was 1 external chair kept, in my case that was missing. Not electric cattle was there. Room service was near to nil. Previously easily you could request to serve tea coffee at room. This time it was difficult the get that service, though after a few requests they served. This is a premium catagory hotel and we booked 3 AC delux rooms but service was near to Nil. Breakfast option is only bufet @250 rs each, quality & taste is really poor. Overall quality is too much degraded.

Suraj Shinde★★★★★Here is a corrected and polished version of your review: ⸻ Start with the good things — the service and staff behaviour were great. But the room was pathetic. The washroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for ages and had a very bad smell. The AC and all the furniture were in a rotten condition. The AC made so much noise throughout the night, like a generator. Another issue is that there are no options around other than the in-house restaurant, which also isn’t good. Instead, book another option at a lower price.

Nitin Gupta★★★★★For such a small room I have paid 3863 ₹ they allow 3 adult+ 1 kids but King size bed tough to adjust 3 person and provide one extra bed. Changing room too much expensive and again. Tea too much expensive 35 ₹ . It's better to book room in mango tree room better than Mayura and cost are 1500 ₹

Shailendra Gupta★★★★★The perfect example of failure of system, why the Govt should not come in hospitality sector with beauracratic mind set up, ordered Paneer Chilli at Restaurant, the worse part they served rotten shimla mirch and the sad part is no body owned the responsibility. Pathetic, God knows when our Govt controlled system will learn the meaning of service and remain competitive with pvt sector

Sahil Devgan★★★★★The hotel is very poor in terms of everything starting from rooms in which lizards, frogs, cockroaches were complimentary instead of other amenities, food was very pathetic, not at all palatable. One can fall sick easily after having their food. There were frequent power cuts in the hotel also. There is a big open space outside the hotel where there is no proper lighting on the road, when it gets dark, many locals sit there and drink alcohol which poses a major safety concern since the hotel is secluded from the main city. Only positive thing about hotel is it is near to major attractions of Hampi. We needed a room in the evening for few hours after our check out to freshen up as our bus was late, we requested them to give a room on chargeable basis. First they said they have a room available then after sometime they said they only had dormitory room available which we agreed to take as we just wanted to freshen up before leaving. That dormitory room was pathetic, there was a dead rat found in the comode, upon complaining they refused initially to change the room that too even after charging the amount. However, after a lot of arguing with the receptionist she agreed to change the

Aayyush J★★★★★This was our first visit to Hampi, and unfortunately, booking with KSTDC turned out to be the worst experience of the trip. We had booked and paid in advance, expecting a smooth check-in and at least a clean room. But when we arrived, the room was not cleaned at all. The staff told us it would be done at the time of check-in — yet even then, they made no effort to get it ready. We were made to wait outside for over an hour, and even after that, the room was still not properly attended to. The attitude was indifferent and no one seemed responsible for ensuring guest comfort. Very disappointing, especially for a government-run facility in such a historic location. We hope the management takes these issues seriously and improves the service for future visitors.

Hrishikesh Gadekar★★★★★Extremely poor quality rooms for the price charged. Toilet aren't in good condition. The place feels somewhat shady at night. They provide only two half litre water bottles for a room of two and deny any extra water. Is this how guests are treated? Pathetic. Avoid at all costs.

Harshad Sharma★★★★★Person at the reception is a retired army personnel, extremely rude. Extremely arrogant and incompetent. He knows he is in a govt job and has nothing to loose. Wish I knew who he was before I booked. Please don't take the guide or the anyone else he suggests as well. Facilities: I had like 50 insects in my presidential suite, which is of course, your problem not the staffs. Monkeys roaming around so your children can't play by themselves. They are doing the bare minimum so the place doesn't fall apart. They have breakfast, but the cleanliness is horrible. Imagine you are turned down because they don't have enough plates or spoons. You can actually see food stuck to spoons. They have room service, but there is no service staff so you have to go get your own food.

jayeeta chaudhuri★★★★★The location of the place is good but service is pathetic. If you are planning to stay here, it is ok though the room was not clean enough. We got the room with cigarette packet left by the previous tenant. Don't ever order food from the restaurant. It's absolute rubbish. They prefer to cook food without salt. They serve simple chicken curry in earthen pots and claim it to be "handi chicken". Same can be said about the so called " Handi Biriyani". In unlimited breakfast buffet, fruits were limited and watermelon was not being refilled even after waiting for 15 minutes. None of the food was edible in true sense. People were having it just because they have time constraints and have to go for sight seeing. Staffs are not at all bothered about the tourists. When we asked them to serve the biriyani, their simple reply was all of them are very busy since sufficient staff were not available. Hope they'll consider training their staffs about hospitality industry someday.
