“As I have stayed in most of the Mayuras throughout Karnataka, but this was the one and only experience which was the worst in terms of stay and food, both. Stay: As per your guidelines, we were supposed to get the room at 1 PM, but we got it around 2:15 despite having a lot of rooms empty. We were allocated Room No. 10, but the attendant told us to take Room No. 4, where the bathroom was stinking because there was no exhaust window and the flush was not working properly. When we told them that we don't need that room, they said that by mistake, they had allocated us Room No. 10 on paper, and we should settle for Room No. 8 because it was allocated to some others. If this is the case, then why do we need to book the room in advance? After requesting many times, they told us there were Rooms 1, 2, and 4 available, and we could choose any one of them, and I chose 2. As I saw all the rooms, the 10th room was actually a better room than any other room. The common issue with all the rooms was the stench of mold. None of the rooms were well-kept. The room (2nd) which we took later, we got to know that the 1st room's bathroom exhaust window is in the 2nd room's bathroom, and it was a hell”

“Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the Price Unless You Get "Hill top Jungle View Cottage Number 1" We stayed at KSTDC Mayura Pine Top, Nandi Hills from 25th Jan to 26th Jan, 2026, booking two Hill top Jungle View cottages (No. 2 and 3) for a total cost of ₹14,500 for one night. For a property charging what feels like ₹7,250 per cottage per night, the service was extremely poor. Major issues we faced: 1. There was no proper reception desk or dedicated staff available for assistance. 2. No sealed bottled water was provided—only Aquaguard water. 3. Room service was very disappointing: dinner was delivered in plastic packets and was already cold. 4. During booking on MMT, the cottages were advertised as having balcony views with clear hilltop scenery and Bangalore outskirts visible from the room and balcony. In reality, Cottages 2 and 3 had no such view at all—the front was completely blocked by a wall and jungle. Cottage 2 didn’t even have a balcony. 5. Only Cottage 1 actually has the scenic view shown in the photos, yet those same pictures are being used to sell all cottages, which is misleading. Paying ₹7,250 per night for a double-bed room with no view, poor service, and mismatch”

Binil Viswanathan★★★★★A wonderful location and a poorly maintained hotel. It's just other PWD guest house with long corridors. As the hotel is adjacent to the Nandi Hills Sunrise View Point and there is no privacy for guests who pay more than INR 5K per night. Places is ruled by monkeys and therefore one can not sit in the lawn and enjoy the view peacefully. KSTDC is not taking any measures to keep the place clean and not at all interested to provide a value for money service to the guests. I'm sure that every other person will be disappointed, and one can never expect at least a 2 star facility for the amount (inr ~5500) paid per room per night. Bedsheets and quilt stinks, toilet facilities are new but the room, furniture etc. are old and not kept clean.

Abhishek Chaudhary★★★★★⭐☆☆☆☆ I stayed at Gandhi Nilaya (New Block) and had a very disappointing experience. The room was full of seepage and mold. Bathroom tap was leaking, furniture and walls were badly stained. Monkeys were freely roaming around and even attacking guests. Overall, the room felt dirty, filthy, and very poorly maintained. Breakfast was bad and the setup was extremely unhygienic. I had booked for 2 nights but ended up leaving after just one night because of the poor condition. The only positive was that the staff were polite and helpful, but unfortunately that alone cannot make up for the lack of cleanliness and maintenence.

Muhammed Nisafar★★★★★I recently stayed at Mayura Pine Top, Gandhi New Block, and the experience was quite disappointing. The room was poorly maintained, with dirty bed linen, stained pillows, and unhygienic blankets. The entire room had a strong, unpleasant odor, making it very uncomfortable to stay in. For a place located in such a scenic and peaceful area like Nandi Hills, the lack of cleanliness and basic upkeep was really unexpected. Unless major improvements are made, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Shankar Das★★★★★Cottages are not recommendable for family and elders. It's over hyped. Poorly maintained place. Not worth. Better take a good hotel below and take cab up still worth. Needs lots of changes, more securitt staffs to be appointed, 24hrs land line is not available. Plates are poor back side is dirty edges were black... The whole show of the cottages runs depending on 1-2 boys who are really hard working.

Souvik Ghosh★★★★★Extremely Disappointing Stay at KSTDC Pine Top Hotel I recently stayed at the KSTDC Pine Top Hotel Nehru Bhavan, and it was an absolutely terrible experience. The room was damp and had a strong, unpleasant smell. The pillows were covered in fungus, and the bedsheets were stained, making it impossible to feel comfortable. There was no night lamp, only a single tube light, and the absence of room service added to the inconvenience. The dampness and smell made it impossible to sleep, and to make matters worse, the floor was crawling with insects. This one-night stay was nothing short of a nightmare. I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel unless significant improvements are made. Rating: 1/5

Nandi Hills , a nightmare for a night halt in administrative intervention - 29.11.2024, booking no ----------- Either the names Nehru, Gandhi names(Nilaya)...are very cheap, else the guests/ tourists are worthless to be paid any attention to. That is our experience of previously booked room stay in Nandi Hills. *Room walls, ceiling are damp, sweating with moisture, peeling off- a complete eyesore. *No room heater, TV signal not available for Sr.Citizen even. *Bed cover is torn( beggars are we!), bed and blanket cold, lacked dry feeling. *KSTDC may be totally incompetent to maintain a few rooms, not far( 60 Km) from Bengaluru. *Apart from this the net connectivity( AIRTEL,BSNL) was pathetic or apathetic. *It is far inferior to medium budget benchmark standard of OYO once used to be. *No complementary breakfast / not even morning tea, coffee even for a cold place, inclement weather. Coffee/ tea kits nowhere in imagination. *In the make my trip the facade shown is of vvip rooms

Hotel Mayura is just looting the money of customers. By booking Suite room, what I got was a stinky dirty bathroom which spreads foul smell to the bedroom. (Bedroom was okay however, looks like sofas and beds were properly cleaned long long ago)Restaurant food was not even up to the mark of any local hotel in Bangalore. (Dinner was okay).Premises were not at all maintained. it's dirty just outside the room. Can't you folks offer a better service at least to suite room/VIP room customers? I expected that it wouldn't be nice as other private resorts but this was terrible.

SIVA M★★★★★Restaurants has bad hygiene and quality. To manage crowd, restaurant should use Bio Degradable Disposable Plates and cups. If it is not allowed, they should have sufficient staffs to clean and serve the customers. In my view, you can stay in the rooms, but arrange your own food.

Yesha Mittal★★★★★Dirty and unhygienic rooms. No room service is available. No tea/coffee is available post 6pm. Jug and glasses provided in the room were dirty. Staff is mostly unavailable and rude. There is no wifi and no phone network in the room. Will not recommend to anyone. Pathetic experience.
