“We20 ladies from coorg visited the JalMahal Resort on 13 th April 2026.. We had a very bad experience.. Inspite of paying an advance and booking 10 days earlier .the receptionist by name Deepa never informed the faculty.. Food was not prepared.. Finally after a long wait they gave us some horrible food stuff ..No one was responding us.. General manager refused to receive my calls... Finally we had an argument and they agreed thier mistake.. The receptionist by name Deepa never came to the spot as it was her fault.. Anyways..we had a very horrible experience aftr traveling a long way from coorg to mysire”

“Worst resort, I will not visit again or recommend 1.Room size is ok ok, but bed size too small can't even manage with small baby - Classic/Elegance. Bed covers are stained, torned, spring mattress not with good standard. 2. No hot water available, especially when u have a small kid, rainy season, u r done here. Even after complaining, nobody cared, ( As per the reply he claims it was rectified, but it was rectified for 5 minutes by closing other room valves, after 5 mins, other guests complained, so they opened back, so it's a clear plumbing problem,so its not rectified. kindly note it was rectified morning 8 o clk as the manager saw my negative review and then they solved, but the complaint was raised previous day morning ) Bathroom taps are leaking, dirty bucket and mugs. 3. No food items to the room, no room service, no parcel, nothing - Only option is go inside the messy hut for food. I wish to eat in my room, when u have a kid with you.but not available.(it was not informed earlier before booking) 4. Only half page of menu card with 10-15 items, but they serve items not in menu card, if u ask, they say its old menu, u ask whatever u want we will serve, so u have to create a me”

“We had a very disappointing and unpleasant experience at this hotel. At around midnight, we were woken up by severe itching and discovered dozens of bedbugs on the bed and pillows. When we called the reception for help, instead of showing concern, the staff were rude and dismissive. We had to shift rooms at 1 a.m. with our sleeping 4-year-old child, which was extremely stressful. While checking the new room to ensure it was safe, the staff were impatient and unprofessional. Shockingly, the receptionist even mocked my husband when he expressed frustration about the situation. No compensation, apology, or proper action was offered – neither that night nor during checkout in the morning. All they asked was for us to send the photos we had taken. On top of this, they charged the full amount at check-in, which makes me feel these issues might not be new to them. This was the worst hotel experience we’ve had, and I would strongly advise others to avoid staying here.”

Kishan Sharma★★★★★Absolutely unacceptable and extremely unprofessional behavior. After a long and exhausting day, I parked my bike in what was clearly an almost completely empty parking area. There were plenty of available spots — the place was practically vacant. Later that night, at around 10 PM, I was abruptly woken up and told to immediately move my bike because “someone else needed the space.” No proper explanation. No logical reasoning. Just a demand to relocate. Let me be very clear: the parking lot was empty. Not “almost full.” Not “limited.” Empty. Being disturbed at 10 PM after a tiring day, for absolutely no valid reason, is beyond inconsiderate. It shows a complete lack of basic courtesy and respect toward guests. If the parking had been full, or if there was a genuine emergency, that would have been understandable. But this was neither. It felt arbitrary, unnecessary, and poorly managed. What makes this even more frustrating is that when I left the next morning, the parking area was still completely empty — just like it was the night before. So what exactly was the justification? We paid ₹2500 for day out package, expecting the facilities and activities that were promised, but in reality it felt like we only paid for access to the swimming pool. The management and service were extremely disappointing. No welcome drink was provided until noon, and even that happened only after we asked multiple times. The outdoor sports counter was unattended most of the time, so there was nobody available to provide equipment or manage activities. Indoor games were in terrible condition. Not a single game was complete or properly maintained — missing chess pieces, incomplete carrom setup, unusable table tennis equipment, and overall poor upkeep. Food quality and service were equally bad. Very limited options and we had to wait almost an hour. The “high tea” included in the package was another disappointment. The biggest issue was the rain dance, which was clearly included in the package while booking but was never provided at all. I had booked for 2 adults but I guess I was given the room which they provide for 1 adult as there was only one chair inside and no table at all to keep things. A small table was there where their cutlery, phone had taken full space! Beds, blankets, towels were not at all good. Room Not maintained properly, toilet was so small and attached to smaller bathroom and no exhaust fan in bathroom, no fridge as prescribed while booking. Place is very old and rusty too. Only good things: staff, swimming pool. So service-4 and location-3.

mythri mr★★★★★Worst ever stay. The room facilities were extremely poor. We stayed for 2 days, and there was continuous leakage from both the bathroom washbasin and the commode. Despite repeated complaints, the staff kept saying they would check, but no one ever turned up. The breakfast was disappointing—honestly, roadside food would have been a much better option. The swimming pool was also a letdown, with an overpowering chemical smell, and the water level was so low it only reached waist height for a 5-year-old. Overall, the management seemed least bothered and did not take any of our concerns seriously. Definitely not recommended.

Hangers were provided in the room, on your request and continuous follow-up they provide at the time of checkout.... Terms were not spelt out clearly and later they start spelling their own sweet terms, which you have no choice than to accept and you are compelled. Though they say it as complimentary breakfast, items will be very bad and hygiene is not maintained at all. People shouting at the staff for not providing the items, was quite common. Overall had very worst experience in the stay. Not a value for money...

PUNITH DJ★★★★★Very disappointing experience at Jalmahal Resort, Mysore Visited today with a group for lunch and the overall experience was below average. The food quality was poor — the chicken served was not cooked properly, and the pepper chicken dry was literally deep-fried and mixed with pepper masala before serving. Definitely not worth the price. The worst part was the behaviour of the manager. He stopped our group from taking photos in the garden area using a small DSLR camera and demanded an extra ₹4,000 just for clicking pictures. This is completely unreasonable and spoiled the mood of our visit. I strongly suggest avoiding this resort for food, family gatherings, or any kind of celebration. There are far better places in Mysore with better food and respectful service.

The bathroom shower was not functioning properly, and the bathtub also had similar problems. Additionally, I found the complimentary breakfast options to be quite limited, particularly lacking variety in non-vegetarian dishes. I also noticed an unpleasant odor of cold milk and eggs in the breakfast hall, and there seemed to be inadequate ventilation in the area. Moreover, the condition of the fish pond appeared to be unsatisfactory, and I did not receive guidance on the indoor and outdoor activities available. Given the price point of my stay, I expected a higher level of service and amenities. I truly appreciate your attention to this matter and hope that these issues can be addressed for the comfort of future guests.

Ashwini Colaco★★★★★When I booked this hotel, I thought it was actually a palace going by the look in the photographs shared online however on arrival I was told it is an 11 year old structure. On day one since we were tired with the journey we decided to dine in its restaurant named Tatva. Menu was limited barely any choice, prices exorbitant and literally nothing for children as everything was spicy nor were they flexible to prepare something non spicy. The French fries served were really off, in the sense the potatoes were black, most of them, something I would never give my child otherwise. Next, the rooms were not as expected. The headboard to the bed was musty and had some holes which gave a very yucky feeling. The towels smelled strongly of bleach. The toilet most uncomfortable and dirty and fittings corroded, the tiling uneven and untidy. The basin had a very low flow of water which appeared dirty and soapy and tasted weird whenever i rinsed my mouth. Extreme hard water supply. And above all, service damn poor. I asked for a fresh water as they provide only two half litre bottles per day and they ACTUALLY GAVE ME WITHOUT INFORMING REFILLED BOTTLES HALF LITRE BOTTLES. Given the fact that I am
