“Absolutely pathetic experience. There was effectively zero room service throughout our stay despite four separate requests. The toilet hand-flush was not working and no one bothered to fix it. The TV remote did not work and was never replaced. We repeatedly asked for basic essentials like drinking water and ice cubes—no response at all. As per the confirmed MakeMyTrip booking, an extra bed was included, yet no one ever came to provide it. Paying ₹16,000 for this third-class service was a complete waste of money. This hotel does not deserve to be listed as a professional hospitality property. Booking here was a huge mistake. MakeMyTrip is also at fault for promoting and accepting bookings for such substandard hotels without ensuring minimum service levels. A full refund is absolutely justified for this unacceptable and irresponsible experience.”

“Ok so where to start 1. It’s a old property and with that they have older locks probably discovered in Hampi ruins, it doesn’t open you need to call someone to open the door and it takes 20 mins from staff to address it, happened with us 6 times and it’s not one off it happened with lots of folks. 2. Leakages in Taps are frequent leaving you with a natural sauna bathroom with wet toiletries that you can enjoy with mushy feel. 3. If you order food at room, they will help you fast and stay on diet by processing it in more that 3 hours and it’s not very uncommon if they forget it. By the way we booked two rooms so probability of ruining your holiday in ruins of hampi is high! Good luck! Cool 0.5 star out of 5”

“NOT SAFE FOR WOMEN : One of the worst fraud hotel , don’t stay there , had stayed on Room no 221, and the stay is crap Some one suddenly opened my room using master key by 4.20 am and switched the light , in the chaos while trying to wake up he left ( when informed reception they denied and told to check CCTV no feedback at all ) The WiFi is one of the worst one , it will disconnect once in 15 minutes automatically, also the water kept in the glass bottle is not changed properly , got High cold by drinking it AC never had any proper cooling On top it the tariff is 5000, I could have a better stay in a road side lodge rather stating here”

Saurabh Khandelwal★★★★★We had planned our holiday well in advance and had assumed that bookings in a star hotel like Royal Orchid would just add to the holiday. Little did we know that we were heading for a big disappointment. We drove all the way from Bangalore to hear from them that they do not have parking because they are busy attending to some party organized in their lawn area and cared a damn for the in-house guests. I was struggling till 11.30 PM at night to figure out a parking and finally just had to leave my car in the passage for the night. I brought it up with the duty manager and he seemed absolutely not bothered for the issues raised. We were there for 3 days and looking at the breakfast, I would think a roadside local shop would do a better job. Rooms are very average and except for the housekeeping staff, there is nothing good about the hotel. I tried writing to the Royal Orchid helpdesk as mentioned in the website, as there is no other way to connect for an escalation, when the manager himself is not bothered. To my surprise the corporate team is also not bothered. Overall not a good stay and avoiding it would save money and effort.

Guide17157512230★★★★★This place is in desperate need of renovation and upkeep. We stayed for 2 nights and had the worst experience. There was bat poop on the walls of the corridors, and door of the room. The furniture and decor is ancient and coming apart. The toilet faucets and flush tank were continuously leaking. Service is abysmal- staff are not trained. We waited 40 minutes for a glass of water at the restaurant. The food too was less than ordinary. The refrigerator at the restaurant was repulsive and dirty. One expects a certain standard from a brand like Royal Orchid. This was an absolute disappointment. Plug points in the room are only at floor level and inaccessible behind tables. Stairs and doors leading to the rooms and restaurant are dirty beyond description. The holiday season rates were also incorrigibly high for the services offered. NO value for money spent.

Krishnakumar M★★★★★Checked in at this hotel in Oct '24. Was mentioned as a 4-star hotel. It was full of surprises. The room size mentioned and what they offered was different. Std. room amenities like water mugs. I booked two rooms. Initially planned for 3 adults in a room and 2 adults in another room. Later, I changed the 2 adult occupancy to 3 adult occupancy. I have not chosen Breakfast option as the Tariff seems to be too expensive and I paid 10.5 k per room. Despite that, at the time of check out, they asked me to pay ₹ 1000 extra. I have explained them why they want to charge me extra for same type of room with same occupancy. The staff at the front office were not courteous. As I have come along with family, I had to make that payment and leave. Worst experience.

Electrical points don't work. Their housekeeping staff had to be repeatedly called to fix intercom, fuse, sockets. Got unwashed and stained mugs in the room.

Finally 3rd room...less smell, but now air-conditioning system did not cool the room at all. Furniture in the room is only for the show, not for comfort. I am sorry but I am not happy. They have already charged a bomb 7-8 K /night excluding taxes. I have booked two rooms and one of the room was facing constant issues like flush not working and water leakage from the false ceiling through the ceiling light. The hotel team has supported me to change my rooms from the 3rd floor to the 1st floor. However, this is not the experience anyone wants during Family vacation. Suggest to find a decent hotel with less rates and better service in Hospet. Avoid staying here considering poor maintenance.

Gobind Vijay★★★★★***Don't recommend the Cottage rooms if you are going with the family *** Actually we got scammed. Both Deluxe and Presedential suites were available but the hotel reception scammed us by inferring we have much better Pool facing cottages at the less price and its available since few last rooms had late cancellation. Eventually we got excited and booked it as we were planning to go the next day. Now this is when reality hit us when we reached. The cottages are actually not a cottage and no idea why they kept this name. It's just a bunch of interconnected rooms. Sigh! Then the second big problem - Bathroom has zero ventilation and you basically have to keep it open or get suffocated. Never seen a design like this in my life. And if you need to exit the room you need to enter bathroom, open the door and then exit. Third - It feels most of their maintenance staff were suprised on how this got booked and they were getting the rooms ready when we arrived.. Starting from Electrical, Linens, A/C and restrooms were half baked work. Even our door bell was being fixed! On the 2nd day the MCB trip went off Do note this is not on the main hotel building and it's a like backside of the hot
