I had a very disappointing experience at Starling Resort. • Food: The food was terrible, and the quality was far from acceptable. • Rooms: The rooms were in a horrible state—extremely dirty and unhygienic. They were not cleaned properly and certainly not worth the high prices they charge (₹3000-₹3500 per head ). • Pool: The pool was filthy and unusable, definitely not suitable for families. lot of bachelors crowd and indecent crowd • Pricing: They are unclear about their pricing and overcharge for everything, including boating. It feels like their only intention is to extract money from customers. • Customer Service: The staff is unprofessional and lacks basic customer service skills. They expect tips for everything—whether it’s keeping luggage, paying the bill, or even minor tasks. • Additional Restrictions: Sitting by the riverside requires you to order extra items, and liquor is not allowed in the restaurant. • Location: While the location is good, it is very far from the city (around 15 km), making it inconvenient to get anything from the city. This place is not at all meant for families. The lack of cleanliness, poor service, and high charges make it completely unworthy of ev

Very disappointing experience. The food quality was very poor. We were served egg rice for dinner, and it was mixed with egg shells. We had booked premium rooms, but they were not clean. The bed sheets were dirty, and the bathrooms were only average at best. There is a lake within the property which appears to have never been cleaned; it emits a strong sewage smell that spreads across the entire property. If you go near the lake, the situation becomes very evident—foul smell and mosquitoes everywhere, posing a clear health risk. The sewage smell is especially noticeable in the premium rooms, as they are located on the top floor. There are also too many restrictions on food timings. Even if you reach on time, food availability is not assured. The management needs significant improvement in cleanliness, food quality, client interaction, and overall maintenance.

We had stay at Starling Resorts from 11th October to 12th October.||I would like to inform that We had a terrible experience with the rooms. Infact We felt very unsafe to spend the night at the Tents and very anxious even to sleep on the beds. ||I believe you just wanted to fill up the rooms and raise the revenue for the night. ||All the Tents were filled with insects and Tent 3 had a big lizard and bathroom was filled with big black ants. We requested for a room change and we got only one and rest We had to spend a restless and night hearing the Lizard noise.||I clearly informed at the time of reservation that the people are my personal guests coming for rest and relaxation and they are medical professionals and heading a department. ||I believe you don't have any concern for the guest preferences and request.||But my guest had to endure a agonising, restless and sleep less night after paying a hefty sum of money just for a night. ||Reception was unresponsive and yet they were only bothered about the settling the bill. ||Morning nature walk was messed up because of no coordination from the reception. It made it more unpleasant. ||After that we were left with no other option but t

The only good thing about this resort is its location it’s close to the Kali river banks, and you may spot crocodiles nearby. Coming to the negatives: the food experience is poor. There is no oven or reheating facility, so you must strictly follow meal timings, almost like a hostel setup. Rooms are spacious, but functionality is hit or miss. Sometimes there’s no hot water, the hair dryer doesn’t work, and the kettle may be faulty—you’re basically lucky if everything works. The climate is pleasant, so AC rooms are unnecessary; don’t waste money opting for them. The management is extremely disappointing. Whatever you ask, the default response is simply “No.” There is no effort to improve customer experience. There are no proper, dedicated spaces for bonfires or private drinking areas. Instead, they have cheap bench-style seating where you’re forced to sit with other guests, with no privacy and constant disturbance from crowds. After 10 PM, everything shuts down—lights off, bonfire off—and you’re forced to stay inside your room. The food is mediocre. Saturday lunch tasted okay, but it was served cold because we returned late from rafting and there was no way to reheat it. Overal

We recently visited Starling Resort, Dandeli, and unfortunately, the experience did not meet expectations. The food quality was average, and the stay itself was just okay — nothing exceptional considering the expectations set beforehand. The service also felt ordinary and lacked the hospitality one would expect from a resort stay. One of the main disappointments was the limited number of activities available. The information shared over the phone did not accurately reflect what was actually offered at the property. Upon arrival, several things we were informed about were either unavailable or different from what had been communicated, which was quite disappointing. Overall, the experience did not justify the expectations created prior to the visit. I hope the management works on improving transparency, service standards, and guest experience going forward.

A poorly managed resort. Very poor infrastructure. Table tennis table is curved. Rooms are shabby with improper lighting. I had to change my cottage as there was no drainage in bath area. Breakfast, lunch, dinner timings were never followed. Faced frequent power cuts & voltage fluctuations. Room TV were not recharged for set top box subscription. No defined cycle for room cleaning. Rooms of newly checked in people are cleaned first, rooms of over night people are cleaned after 3 PM(So people have to Essentially sweat out side in peak heat). Worst part is taxi service provided for local outings. Driver was arrogant, he was not knowing the roads, no idea about good restaurants around the resort. They charge exorbitant fees (2000 rupees for 10 kms). On top of that they refused to use car AC & denied to start the radio. Hotel staff like Devraj, Manjunath, Anand tried their best to run the show but no one listens to them. Overall 0/10 marks. This resort ruined our holidays. Tourists should avoid visiting this place. There are multiple options available in Dandeli.

My experience at this resort was very disappointing. The service was terrible — the staff were unresponsive and not helpful at all. The swimming pool was a major letdown. It looked large in the photos, but in reality, it was only about 3.5 feet deep and very small — completely misleading. The resort is also located far from Dandeli, which was inconvenient and not properly mentioned beforehand. There are no Wi-Fi facilities, and the electricity kept going off frequently, making the stay even more uncomfortable. They charged high prices for basic items like water bottles and ice creams, which felt very unfair. The “unlimited food” offered was not tasty and had very limited options — definitely not worth the name. Overall, I do not recommend this resort. I hope the management takes honest feedback like this seriously and improves the facilities, transparency, and guest experience.🤬🤬😡😡

Most worst experience to come in this resort if you are planning for Dandeli trip. We faced very worst situation where we had booked a tent in which throughout the day and night big rats were continuously running. Due to rats the gas gizzer's connection was cut and we continuously informed the staff and there negligence level was so amazing that once you fill their amount then you are no longer associated to them. We literally fought with the staff but they all are shameless people Please don't plan such resort in Dandeli.Even a lodge would be better than such so called resort.

We reached the place at 10 . O' clock after long journey of 12 hours. They didn't allow to use rest room though we requested. We went there family with small kids. Around 30 members. We waited for two hours to get the room keys.again we waited for 20 minutes to have breakfast. Rooms also not hygienic. We are unable to contact with reception people. Even they won't bother customer requirement. They kept bleaching the pool in front of us. Worst food. After 9.20 PM kids were dancing for the music after dinner, suddenly they came and switched off the music system we requested them to play for 10 more minutes but they didn't even bother to listen, they stated that there is issue with forest department for not playing the music....again we asked them that through the proper channel u people have established the resort for resort purpose then why to worry about forest dept.for this purpose they didn't bother to answer after the conversation I personally conclude myself that they have not at all established resort with proper channel I mean I have doubt regarding land conversion for resort purpose and they have not taken plan approval for resort through local planning authority. Starling River Resort – A Culinary Gem Thanks to Chef Shavez The true star attraction of Starling River Resort is undoubtedly Chef Shavez. His passion and attention to detail shine through in every aspect of the dining experience. He personally ensures that each guest’s food preferences and dietary needs are met with care. From curating a thoughtful menu to overseeing every dish that leaves the kitchen, his dedication makes meals at the resort a highlight of the stay. Every dish is flavorful, well-presented, and cooked to perfection, making dining here an experience in itself. If you’re considering a stay at Starling River Resort, make sure Chef Shavez is available during your visit—his presence truly elevates the entire experience. Without him, the rest of the resort—rooms, amenities, and general service—can feel fairly average. Book this place for the food, and specifically for Chef Shavez.

1. Food Quality: The food was absolutely terrible and not worth the price. 2. Staff Behavior: The staff were unfriendly and rude. Even after giving tips, they expected more every day, and their behavior got worse after receiving tips. 3. Service: Service was appalling—honestly, it doesn’t even deserve one star. 4. Room Condition: The rooms were dirty and sticky. Bedsheets were not properly cleaned (seemed reused), and they refused to change them when requested. The health faucet and other basic amenities were non-functional. 5. Cleanliness: The pool was filthy and clearly not maintained. 6. Payment Issues: Staff seemed to be pocketing money directly, and they kept asking for more. I’m not sure if the owner is aware of this. My advice: don’t pay anything in advance and only make payments to the company’s official account. Overall, this was one of the worst stays I’ve ever had. I strongly advise against visiting this resort.

I recently stayed at Starling River Resort, and unfortunately, my experience fell far short of expectations due to several critical issues. First and foremost, the staff exhibited a concerning lack of professionalism. Upon arrival, I was met with disinterest and unhelpfulness, which set a disappointing tone for my stay. The management was particularly rude and dismissive, making it difficult to address any concerns. The resort's rules seemed unreasonable and poorly communicated, leading to confusion about what was expected of guests. This added to the already frustrating experience, as basic hospitality principles seemed overlooked. Additionally, the cleanliness of the rooms was far from acceptable. I found dirty linens and surfaces upon checking in, which is unacceptable for any resort. Essential bathroom amenities were also lacking, leaving me to feel that basic hygiene standards were not a priority. The swimming pools were another significant disappointment. They were unkempt and dirty, making them uninviting and unusable. This was particularly disheartening, as a clean, functioning pool is a hallmark of any resort experience. Lastly, I must mention the kitchen staff, who w
