The place was very difficult to reach and the path was not good. We faced a lot of problem in communicating with the owner. Most of the time the number was not reachable. Rooms had thin blankets. Also we got less number of blankets as per the number of person. Did not supply drinking water for the second time. We had to bring water and food from the restaurant to the top floor ourselves. Owner(Ganesh) shared one plan before booking and another plan after booking. He gave wrong details about the itinerary and hence we got only room and food and no other activities. Did not let us do bonfire, Zipsy Ride as promised during booking. Owner's behaviour was not good. Leaches and caterpillars were there. Think twice before booking this place as the road is pathetic. Don't even think about go there in a car, at least it should be a SUV. Pros: Good view. Spacious room though not sound proof. Good staff. Food was good.

Never ever consider yourself visiting this place. 1. We reached the place by late noon and upon arriving we came to know that here is no lunch for that day as the package starts from evening snacks. Upon asking, the owner refused to provide us the food. So we were made to go back to city all once again to fill our empty stomach.. The owner could have shown some courtesy to cook us something which he dint and we were ready to pay for it.... 2. The place is so remote that you need to comeback to city to get anything..and the road to homestay especially last 2 kms is pathetic and hell as well.. 3. There was no hot water to take bath, that too in this extremely cold weather. 4. You can't take ur food to ur room and have it as the so called owner is so strict about it... But still we saw some of the other ppl taking food to their room (strict rule only for some ppl). You can definitely find much more good and better place in chickamaglur than this so called homestay (which is not apparently) at that price. Never ever visit here .. I repeat never .. You will repent same like us if you do...

I don't know who are these people giving 5 stars and all. Must be his friends and families. 1. Behaviour of the caretaker (Ganesh) was very disrespectful. More of ill-mannered. Rest of the staffs were cool though. 2. Damp beds. Taps in washroom were not working. 3. Place was swarming with leaches.

Beware!! the priority will be given to the people who book through the homestay owner. The booking can be cancelled even after transferring the advance they return your advance amount and just say sorry. I had booked the whole homestay for 2N & 3Days for 30 Ppl. This was our family trip, I had even booked the vehicle. But then I had to cancel everything and convince the family about the situation. It's so embarrassing. Booking confirmed at 7 am and booking cancelled at 2:30 pm..

Worst Place any one can go for.. If there were no Star I would have given 0 Stars.. once u land there u cant go any where else. Leaches any where u step. Owner or works will be bother to Help u. Food u will not get what is expected. Since our booking was missed in Sankars estates they suggested this hell of a Place. Seeing the Good Pictures don't get excited and go there. If u have emergency u will Die.. In Case u still want to go.. u can only go all your stuffs Packed and Pay for use less things.. My worst Spending I would Say.. PLZZZZZZ Don't Opt here

Finally green dale is worst and it's just a waste of money & time. Uday u can be a good politician in future Cox u spk but u won't keep up your words. Totally guys don't select green dale and don't waste your money comparing to them chickamagaluru lodges are better.

Remote rustic estate!! We were a group of 30 riders visited during monsoon. May be it's a wrong timing to come during monsoon, leeches and slush everywhere. I believe November & December would be a bliss at this region. Coming to the caretaker Ganesh make sure you communicate properly if possible keep it via whatsapp and reconfirm as many times as possible.he is sought of a tongue twister can change is words easily.In our case he said 24 people can be occupied in beds but eventually it was 18 people,rest were provided with extra mattress. Another instance he himself offered is drone for a picture and I said will use it in the morning while vacating, so next morning when we were taking our group pic i reminded of drone he bluffed saying already he took a picture early morning and will share it.🙂 Coming to the homestay itself, maintenance is below par. Water in taps in bathroom were flowing brown mixed with mud. Dining hall is very far from rooms and it's quite a distance walking up & down. Food was basic just rice and sambar (veg& non veg) when you are projecting yourself as homestay which is situated in Chikmagalur we would prefer local food menu.Also there is power issues and t

Visited in month of december before Christmas 2020. We were 4 people., 2 couples, We're Sharing our experience here. Pros : Weather was perfect 👍 Rooms are nice 😇 View from homestay is amazing 👍 4 German bred dogs 🐶 Food at night was good 👍 Cons: The staff coordination - frequent fights & arguments. 👎 Food at breakfast - sub standard quality. 👎 Food at lunch - promised 5 variety but delivered only 2. quality has to improve. 👎 Snacks at hi tea - Tiger Biscuits alone do not provide value to money spent. 👎 Bonda can be improved👎 Promising onion pakoda and not delivering was disappointing. 👎 Service delayed. 👎 Response is unclear when requested for small needs like chairs during campfire. 👎 Dinner - chicken kebab promised but wasn't available - disappointed👎 Breakfast - sambar, fruit salad promised and not delivered. 👎 Washroom windows are not placed well enough to enjoy a private bath.👎 The ride is mentioned as Gypsy, it's a Jeep - again disappointed 😞 Hospitality of Chikmagalur as a standard for reference, this didn't meet our expectations. 👎 This is our whole experience summed up. Please do check up and have a conversation with the homestay staff beforehand 😇

We were a group of 11 who reached this place from Bangalore on a long weekend in November due to lack of any other home stay options and this place was referred by a known home stay owner, but this place turned out to be an utter disappointment majorly coz of: 1. Bad approach to the place - close to 4 kms of broken roads + slush + narrow winding section with gradient - bad connectivity overall. 2. No decent road indications either on google maps or signage on road 3. Less than mediocre rooms - only a couple of rooms in the main bungalow which were occupied already by the time we arrived - although I had booked on the condition for availability of rooms in the main bungalow - we were given secluded cottages with absolutely unlit pathways, not that clean rooms 4. Not so great food, no Bonfire . 5. No activities, nothing!

Very steep and about 4 kms you need to drive in mud and ruts ( red soil with tiped stones ) your vehicle tyres should be minimum 70-80% new to go this place other wise need to have a puncture kit with you Not maintained, old decor, jio and airtel towers available and 2g network (puncture blow and petrol disel all are far about 32kms and with curves, you feel here very alone you should have good team to enjoy ....

About the home-stay it was good experience, Staff were OK OK(2/5), neat rooms(4/5), food was good(3/5), we enjoyed the place and all, but the expense was too high.. as informed to us that der will be no extra charges and we had confirmed on the charges per head and vehicle rent and all , but after going der too many extra charges was der. we were disappointed very much with the expense. I request the home-stay ppl and also guests to be clear and confirm about all amount before booking.
