“1 st day room was good but on 2nd day they changed the room and it was very bad, had swapy smell. when we asked for another room or checkout, they started saying that other guests are not complaining , kind of gaslighting. We checkout in 2 hours ans they said all room are booked and they have not refunded any money. So will not recommend to go in this resort.”

“We had visited this resort during the pandemic situation. So for this they gave at 2:00 PM & check out for 12 PM(next day). I agree that they should sanitize but even we have our own clinic,daily we will sanitize we don't take 2 hours to sanitize. There are so many boys & it is just a room...for that they took 2 hours. This is ok but atleast in that 22 hours, they should atleast know the manners how to treat the guests. But here from the entrance itself, the security call us like Dogs as though we have gone there for free. This resort has the worst hospitality I have ever seen.the owners itself don't know how to behave with guests. As I have seen, everywhere there is complimentary breakfast but here even for a child they charged. In calls they won't respond at all. If we call also they won't call back. Welcoming is only the worst. There is no welcome drink or atleast a sweet gesture. I recommend u all not to fall for those pics but also the comfortabllity of the resort!”

“My experience at Vismita County was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I booked this property through Goibibo, where the room description clearly mentioned a balcony. However, on arrival, I was given a room without a balcony, which was a complete mismatch from what was advertised and paid for. What made the situation worse was the response at the front desk. A staff member named Sachin bluntly stated that the property is not responsible for anything mentioned on the Goibibo portal and that they only accept bookings without taking responsibility for the listed amenities. This is completely unacceptable. If a property partners with online booking platforms, it must honour the details shown to guests. Such misleading listings and irresponsible responses reflect very poorly on the property’s management and guest service standards.”

“Stayed at the family suite over the weekend. The room was great and the jacuzzi experience was fab. The staff are nice and courteous but extremely irresponsible! If you are choosing this property for your stay, please gear up your patience levels big time as the service is unbelievably slow and pathetic. From an hour late check in to poorly cleaned rooms( considering the current situation we expected deep cleaning!) The coffee tables and chairs in the balcony were dirty and the carpets uncleaned. Water bottles weren't being given and for everything I had to make numerous calls to the reception. The food isn't worth the money being spent. Homestays provide tastier food. Do not expect anything luxurious at this resort!! Period. At one point we ended up waiting for 40 mins at the restaurant for a plate of fries only to be told that our order was served to another room while we sat there waiting. What could be more humiliating??? Horrible service overall. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. Please use some extra bucks and go to The Serai or Taj . At least you'll get great quality food and the luxury experience.”

Kapil Padiyath★★★★★This was our first trip to Chikmagalur and wanted to try some nice property. Booked our stay at Vismita county for 2 days in their villa unit. Food - They charge a hefty amount but only provide breakfast. Now the breakfast spread was way below average. Food served was cold. And spread was very limited & tasted below average. Room- First of all there is no private villa in the property. It has 2 villa units very adjacent to cottages hence no privacy. The plunge pool cum jacuzzi is for namesake. It’s not temperature controlled . Rooms furnishing was below standard and no separate living room hence no sofa to relax. Room service- Room service was late most of the times, we kept reminding them of our order as they kept forgetting something or the other. Also we reminded them to carry cutlery while serving. Property - it’s a 23 acre property but nothing to do if you are with kids.

Gowri Murthy★★★★★We were a family of 5. Rooms were clean. Food at the restaurant was not at all good, overpriced, service was pathetic. They messed up our order twice. Breakfast was okish. Property had some renovations going on and there was loud noises throughout the day. We wanted to have a peaceful, relaxing day but ended up with a headache due to the noice. Overall, it wasn’t a nice experience for us and I would never come back. Not at all worth the money they charge. There are much better resorts in Chikmagalur than this

Meghna Pradhan★★★★★The resort and rooms are very beautiful and serene. We booked the suite with the jacuzzi. The amenities were poor, the commodes were not quite clean and toilet seat had stains, we were expecting that it should have been sanitized and sealed (as we had booked a luxury hotel during the covid time, especially for the hygiene) . The hotel cut off the power at night for the AC, Kettle and Jacuzzi. We didn't realize this and wasted 1 hr struggling at night finding the AC switch and could not sleep. When we complained early in the morning, immediately the power was restored. Also the TV d2h was not recharged, they only did it once we raised a complaint. It was late in the evening and we had to call the concierge to fix it, he came in without wearing a mask (this is covid 19 time). Also with respect to a luxury resort, the toiletries provided were pretty basic - the shampoo and shower gel were not at all good but we hadn't carried our own so we had to use them. We also expected bath robes and slippers to be provided given their luxury claims and prices. Overall there are many improvements required - especially the most shocking incident was of power cuts at nights which we haven't come ac

Richa Doshi★★★★★Had recently stayed at their pool villa. Paid 20k per night with breakfast . Don’t waste your money on this room. It was a utter waste of money because the pool is so small you cannot swim. It’s not heat controlled. Most of the times it’s raining and so cold you can’t even use the pool. The bathroom is basic with no tub or anything they don’t even have a balcony. Opting for a jacuzzi room makes more sense. And the breakfast buffet wasn’t great too, very limited things too choose from. If you are going to pay upto 20k you would rather choose other properties like trivik or java rain they have better amenities and views.

Vipin Panwar★★★★★Positives - Greenery Housekeeping staff (Chandan and Nandini) were polite and available for service. Negatives - Below average breakfast buffet Rooms are not maintained. Ours had broken tiles. Charges extra 2k + GST per night for kid above 5 years which is again over expensive considering room tariff is already more than 16k. Low light around plantation so can't take a walk once it's dark. Even the lights in pool area were turned off. No extra activities to engage the guests. Basketball and badminton court has cemented flooring and not maintained. Cycles are not in good condition. Overall it's highly over expensive and overrated considering the amenities, breakfast provided. Nothing in that resort justifies this kind of pricing. Everything such as restaurants, pool, room etc are basic. We decided to go by seeing senenic video about the route shared by resort on Google and MMT (and ofcourse high rating on Google) but there is nothing of that sort and road leading to the resort is narrow and in bad condition.

This shows a clear negligence towards the guest. Felt really pathetic because of the waiting time and I'm never gonna visit them back again. Really pathetic waiting time.

Chandrashekar Yavagal★★★★★5 star category charges but basic 'bus-stand' lodge level hospitality. Extremely Uncourteous staff who have a 'NO' for every thing. Forget a warm welcome or welcome drink, even water is not available at the reception left. The restaurant takes ages to deliver a simple meal. I Travelled 300 kms with 3 small kids and it turned out to be a horrendous choice.

But billed for driver food also.. No other stay has like this. *Poor Management yet to improve..( Incharge Kumar please teach how to behave ) *Fully infrastructure not completed. *Think before you book.. it's just my experience..
