Our experience at Sree Balaji was pretty poor, it felt as if the owner only cared about earning commission and money for his friends at the detriment of the comfort of the customers. There are plenty of other home stays in the area that I think would be better. The room on the bottom floor is bad, there is no AC, natural light, soap or hot water. The rooms on the top floor are far nicer with AC. The beds were comfy in both. The price is very expensive for what it is especially if you note that 700-800 rupee of taxes are not included in the advertised price. The manager tried to get us to pay 800-900 rupee for 10 pieces of laundry which we thought was very expensive. He also knocked on our door at 1030pm while we were in bed to introduce us to a rickshaw driver for a tour we did not ask for. Would not recommend this home stay if you want a peaceful stay. **edit after the owner’s response- please save yourself the drama and don’t stay here lol I promise you it’s not worth it.

The rooms are very small but OK for staying, I faced wifi problem, the signal is not reachable for some rooms, you should check the wifi connectivity before check in, as no phone signals there. Hot water is available. Finally I recommend this stay for budget people.

If you wanted to see the typical south culture & got bored of staying in hotels this is the perfect stay for you. Owner provide food for you there if you tell in advance by paying extra. Food is delicious. Uncle aunty & their kids are so much helpful & polite. They guided us for the destinations of Hampi. And we really got very great & memorable stay experience with them. Thank you Uncle & Aunty!! HAPPY HAMPI !!
