Hey, I would rate it 0/5 – If that was possible. This was hands down the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel, let alone a brand like Marriott. I have stayed in several hotels across categories, but this stay at Marriott Belagavi was completely ruined because of one person — Mr. Shubham, who was working the night shift at the front desk. From the moment we arrived, his attitude was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. At check-in, despite repeatedly requesting, he refused to show the rooms, speaking in a tone as if he was doing us a personal favor out of his own pocket rather than doing his job. We specifically requested rooms close to the lift since my parents are elderly and cannot walk long distances. He blatantly ignored this request and instead intentionally allocated rooms that were extremely far from the lift. On top of that, even after clearly asking for two rooms on the same floor, he booked two rooms on different floors, without any valid explanation. By that time, it was already late at night, we were exhausted, and we urgently needed the rooms — so despite being unhappy, we were forced to accept what he said. Pathetic service. Staff is not at all courteous and proactive.. I requested for basic amenities at reception and was attended by Shubham who was at the reception. From 5:46 to 6:10, I called him nearly 8 times from my mobile and every time he told me that the house keeping boy is in the lift... After some time he stopped picking my call... Left with no option, Then I called my colleague who was staying in the other room... And he went to the reception and ensured the basic amenities were provided.. It took 40 mins to come.... when the house keeping staff came, he said he is the only staff who is working in house keeping . When I went to reception, Shubham instead giving a reply started avoiding me and didn't bother to answer.. Very pathetic services..... I will not stay in this hotel in future..... Enclosing the pictures of my call log.... Would urge all to think twice before making any booking in this hotel.

Always enjoyed this place for past many years. Club Marriott membership was added attraction, hotel staff went to extra arms length to make guests happy. That seems to be changing, feel sad, hope steps are taken to rectify before it is too late.

I visited the place for breakfast on the way to Bangalore on the highway on 26th Jan. The breakfast price has been considerably increased to Rs 1299. The key point is when I entered I told the lady standing outside the restaurant that I am not staying at the hotel and visiting for breakfast only. While leaving the restaurant she suspected that I have not paid and running away without payment and told me that the breakfast is chargeable. Well even if I drink tea road side I understand it is not given for free.I am educated enough to understand that the hotel is not distributing breakfast for free. Instead of insulting me with such statement, she could have simply checked with the staff if I have paid for the breakfast or not. I felt very bad however I simply replied that I have already paid and left. I suggest please do check internally before making such a statement to the guest and suspecting that he is a cheat that too when I was there with family and myself informed before entering that I am not staying at the hotel and by no means I spoke like uneducated person who can't understand that breakfast is chargeable.

Hate to write negative review. Sometimes like to go to dine. Breakfast quality has been deteriorating gradually and prices have been rising (shocking yet true). Recently price was hiked to 1000 from 750 and now again a 5% rise making it 1050 for buffet breakfast. In good old days even when price was 500, there was salad leaves, dessert, fried rice/noodles, potato wedges etc. Now despite rising prices, all these items are never seen on buffet. Just so that you know.

We had booked *Marriott by Belagavi* from *18th to 20th February* for a wedding, expecting a seamless experience. We had clearly communicated all our requirements *1-2 months in advance*, yet our stay was far from satisfactory. 1.*Rooms were not provided as discussed* upon arrival on 18th Feb, causing unnecessary inconvenience. 2.*Service was extremely poor*—basic amenities like *toiletry kits and towels* were *missing in all rooms*. 3.*Staff was uncooperative* and lacked accountability due to frequent shift changes, making it difficult to get assistance. 4.*Housekeeping was severely understaffed*, with only *one staff member per floor* in such a large hotel, leading to significant delays. 5.*They had no proper record of extra mattresses applied in each room*, making us question how they will be billing for it. 6.Despite booking the entire property, *they checked every car at the entrance*, causing unnecessary inconvenience, even though the cars were used for pick-and-drop services. In contrast, *Welcome by ITC*—which we also booked—provided a far better experience, as they understood our needs and did not unnecessarily check every vehicle. I will never suggest anyone to stay in this hotel or do any kind of wedding. They have worst hotel service .You will get better service in 2 start hotel but nit here. Room will not be cleaned for 3 days as they don’t have staff. Towels are dirty. Ac doesn’t work in corridors and rooms. No managers are available in night for any help. Staff on front desk are very rude. Manager Meera- She won’t help you in any problem.

Staff behaviour is very inappropriate. One of my thing was misplaced with other coustomer by Hotel staff member. I had to chase the Hotel continuously for three days to receive my parcel as they promissed to be delivered next day. They kept saying we have sent at your address and you will receive it today, then next day they said you may receive today. But after 3 days I got call form delivery partner from Belgavi that they just picked up the parcel from the Hotel and they were asking me to do the payments for delivery. First they lied for 3 days and then Hotel wants me to pay for their misplacement. This whole situation was very disappointing as the team involved has Miss. Shruti who lied straight forwardly and made us feel unimportant once we left hotel and started ignoring followups as well and made us chase again and again. Marriott Bonvoy Team, I understand not whole team but because of some members of hotel team I'm am raising and highlighting this incidence to the Marriott Bonvoy India.

The property was very nice we had a teriible experience while the dinner was being served.Worst customer Service.I myself am from Customer Service Indusrty and didnt expect this from Mariott group.We had opted for a Dinner Inclusive Package for the property.We were on time for dinner and surprisingly there were only 2 guests for dinner . We had reuested for the some Rotis and Kichadi and at one point we were the only one in the whole Restaurant but no one was bothered for serving us ???? Nothing was coming we kept on waiting and every time we had to tell a new person who would not be bothered about our table to please look for our order Finally our dinner was over and the Kichadi they had forgotten to serve which was for my child who is 4 year old !! Poor service have never faced in even a small hotel PATHETIC When we raised to some floor manager then the stuff came but it was surpsring that we getter better served even in a small udipi hotel and not kept witing for like 20 minutes for roti to be served to us also ?? Lesson learnt never go for meals options in these hotels as they are not bothered for us since our meals were paid !!

No value for money. You are charging much but keeping low quality shaving kits, dental kits. You don't have battery back up for lift. Your shower also not working well . We have done 5 persons corporate booking from 2nd July to 4th July but really you are no deserve for money . Again our friends 2 no. Done booking corporate booking with same dates.

Stopped by to have Sunday Brunch. Total disaster and disappoint. The staff weren't even refilling the buffet dishes. Very reluctant service. All black coats were chilling behind the bar table. Finally had to rig Mr. Suraj to vet refill of food in the buffet dishes. Regret visiting! Average Taste, Terrible staff, Pathetic service, needs lots of training. Definitely not a Marriott!

The swimming pool was not temperature controlled which spoiled our fun. It was too cold to swim. Staff who answers the call mentioned on the website is also rude. Gym doesn’t have much equipment. So if you are going just for a night sleep then only go ahead with this . Not suitable for a long time stay.
