Do not ever make them advance payment!! "Chu!iy@ katenge tumhara" first they will ask for advance very sweetly and they will keep on reminding you like an alarm, sir payment? and then at the end moment when you try to contact they will never recieve your call and when you call on booking date they will say the cottages are under maintenance or renovation and we have to adjust in 1 cottage!! How can 6 members adjust in 1 cottage which has 1 bed 1 bathroom, all they do is just scam when we wanted to cancel they again didn't pickup the call if they did pickuo the call they say they will refund at this particular time, they don't and later they don't answer texts and they never answer the call aswell, when you call feom different number they pickup and promise for another date and time of refund but they again don't refund the money? This is how you do business? Do you even have some business knowledge? All they say is customer is god and god doesn't bargain and treat them as sh!t , just think if we cancel the booking we are asked to pay cancellation fee now its their mistake they cancelled it but they don't pay us any cancellation fee, HYPOCRITE isn't it? No vanity kit, towels, or sealed water bottles. They serve borewell water in reused bottles. Safety concerns – Open windows in toilets with no grills. Though elevated, monkeys could still get in. !!SCAM!! SCAM!! Writing this review as i booked the cottage but unfortunately could not make it due to health issue. Never got refund and they give reason that need to go City and make payment. Come on you have internet access to call and WhatsApp. They never pick call nor acknowledge. Stay away from such fraud homestay. I see reviews also stating they dont respond and dont waste time after making payment or going there. SCAM

I had the worst experience with Jagath, the manager of this cottage. He demanded 16,000 for a two-day stay, even though we had already paid 8,000 in advance two weeks prior. The day before our arrival, Mr. Jagath asked us to cancel the booking, claiming the cottage was damaged due to fallen trees. He promised to fully refund our payment. However, it has now been four weeks, and he have not received a call or any response to my texts. This feels like a scam! I do not recommend anyone to consider this stay; it’s not trustworthy.

We have booked stuga homestay through makemytrip inspite of bad reviews in google. We have bad experience with owner. We had called him multiple times before reaching homestay to arrange dinner since we are arriving late. He did not pick our calls(tried both numbers mentioned in makemytrip) He picked once and said "care taker available. I will share his number in whatsapp". But switched off immediately. We reached homestay and no caretaker available. we sat in the car for sometime. caretaker came after some time. Pros: Nice view Cons: No proper response from owner. Care taker won't available most of the time. No basic amenities like hot water. You can forget about Internet/Wifi. No dust bin even in wash room no soap no toilet rolls no proper drinking water They speak only local language.If you dont know local language, you wont be able to communicate with him. Food wont be prepared in homestay, they will get it from chikmaglur. i recommend you to make your own arrangements(Have breakfast while going out. Have dinner while coming back). They have not arranged camp fire even after requesting. If you have your own vehicle, know local language, having zero expectations for high pric

3 kms from main road. Not soo good road. Cottage location is good.. Great view. They don't have cook but they are lying that cook has gone to hometown. They will get food from Chikmagalur town. Food is below average taste. Though Care taker service is good, Host is not responsive at all. He has to respect the Guest and provide all the info. If you don't want good food and want to spend time in good location you can prefer this

Stuga Not worth it …. Except for the view nothing good about the place. None of the amenities mentioned on the list are available 1. No Wi-Fi 2. No basic essentials like toilet roll, hand wash, soap, hangers, iron …. None of the essentials mentioned are provided. Luckily I had carried the hand wash, toilet rolls, and trash bags. 3. Mainly no AC - please do not book this place in summer. They gave us only one air cooler which will really not help. And for the other room the air cooler was also not available. 4. No caretaker will be available all the time. Every time you need something we gotta call the owner and at times he will not answer the call 5. Kitchen- very dirty and you cannot use it 6. No grill stand 7. Beds as mentioned is not king sized … it’s too small too call it a king sized bed 8. And the room is not clean … the mirror is dirty and full of dust. The tv panel is covered with dust. Dust covered in all corners. 9. Water bottles provided are not sealed … they just fill the water in used bottles and give it to us 10. Lot of flies, insects, cockroaches, etc in the room 11. We had to recharge for the dish tv as well by ourselves 12. And do not expect a morning coffee …. Th

Not at all advisable to book during summer, we visited on 29th March 2025, there is no AC, room is so hot you feel like staying in a heater, u cannot stay in the room during day time due to heat, no food service, u have to order from zomato or eat outside and come to the room, from main road it is around 2 km upward road which is complete off road, all stones, not good condition, paid 5500 for the room, but not worth at all, only the view is good, so u can capture good photos and video, but not a comfortable stay.

0 stars to this place Never book this homestay they completely scamming the customers. I booked this stay in MMT and booking was confirmed in MMT. But the so called host Mr. Jagath called just a day before and rudely telling he cannot host us and asking to cancel the booking l, not providing the refund as well. All the reviews given here are fake reviews. Mr. Jagath is a big scammer cheating the customers please don't book this stay it doesn't exist.
