The place claims to be 4 star but unfortunately it’s not. The rooms are very average and even the food place is a disaster. I booked d room as it showed 4 star, but after reaching realised its not up to the standards. Very disappointed. Asked for cancellation and refund, they have no clue about it. Feel sorry for the staff that even a brand like sterling couldn’t hold his reputation. Employees have no rights nor power.

To Whom It May Concern, I would like to share my recent experience. I run a travel agency, and unfortunately, your resort is the only option available in Badami through my DMC, primarily due to your association with Sterling. Bcoz of one staff my stay was ruined. Despite booking a king-size bed, I was given a twin bed setup with the beds pushed together. To make matters worse, the same staff member later demanded money from my cab driver, whom I had hired independently. This was both unprofessional. As a travel professional, this experience raises serious concerns. If such a situation were happen to my clients, it could damage my agency’s reputation. I strongly urge you to hire someone from the travel industry who is passionate about customer service and understands how to treat guests with professionalism. That said, I will still share the positive aspects of your resort and that the beautiful setting, peaceful ambiance, and great photos with my clients — but I truly hope the service improves going forward.

Recently I stayed in two of Sterling resorts. 4 days in Sterling Karwar and 3 days in Sterling Badami. The stay was a mixed bag and here is a review of the two. While Sterling Karwar had its own issues, like there was always some or the other marriage event happening there, but yet the stay there was a delight. Great spacious rooms, neatly maintained. Limited menu but delicious food at restaurant. Great location. Overall Courteous staff except just one at the restaurant, who I'm sure will get better over the years with proper training. Overall it was a wow experience and was totally worth the stay. N.B - Stayed at their Premium Suite. Now, jumping to Sterling Banashree Badami. This resort was previously run under the name Morpho Banashree resort and has been recently taken over by Sterling. Here are the reasons why you should totally avoid booking your stay here: 1) The property is in the middle of nowhere with terrible access roads. 2) Though the property claims to be a 4 star resort but barely manages to qualify as a 3 star. 3) Rooms are decently sized but lacks ventilation. Bathrooms are okay but hot water runs out within 10 min. 4) The shower pressure is quite low and the reso

Room finishing and overall room experience does not justify the exorbitant price paid No mobile reception and their slow Wi-Fi speed and intermittent dropping gave me last century dial-up internet nostalgia k😳. There was a Drainage water leaking in front of room and staff did not change the room despite of complaints.

I'm writing to express my disappointment and disagreement with the extra charge of Rs.600 for the blood stain on the bedsheet during our recent checkout from your hotel on 3rd Dec 2025. Ladies getting menstrual cycle can be unpredictable and are indeed washable. As a guest, I believe it's the hotel's responsibility to inform guests about their policies regarding such matters, either during booking or check-in. It's unfair to assume guests are aware of these rules. Moreover, it not about money or charges but its about ethics & it's concerning that your hotel doesn't seem welcoming to women during their menstrual cycle.

The property is located quite far from the main Badami attractions, so commuting becomes unavoidable. The food was good, but the stay experience fell short. There was no proper hot water supply — the 15-litre instant geyser runs out after just a few mugs, making the bathtub practically useless. The swimming pool was also not clean during our visit. Overall, the resort feels expensive for the facilities offered and its remote location.

I wanted to give zero stars. Distasteful design, zero privacy and horrible maintenance. Please do not book this resort ever. Not at all worth it. I have also attached the picures of the room and a missing dressing table. All rooms have sit outs facing other rooms. Worst food.

This was the worst room i have ever stayed in. We opted for premium room with a king size bed… but what we got was two twin beds which were attached together. This made it very uncomfortable to sleep in.Also, the bed covers and towel were very dirty.. we asked for a change and never got it…. The floor was not mopped and seemed very dirty.. Also we were charged Rs.1000 for early check-in which was never intimated to us during prior calls when we requested for early check-in… Also we had hired a driver externally and one of the staffs asked him to pay 500 as a fee… i don’t recommend this hotel to anyone as what we see on the website is not what is offered to us.. Booking done in the name of my husband Rahul shet…. He would also be writing about the worst experience we had here..

Don't get fooled thinking this is a 4 star resort. Be prepared thats it just a mediocre hotel. Food is very bad and please dont make mistake of taking their dinner and breakfast package. No maintainance, no up keep. No hospitality you expect in a star resort. The money you paid and the experience you get is no where matching. Avoid this place.

Full marks to location. Staff is cordial polite and always helpful and thats why 3 star. Sterling should understand that food plays major role in hospitality. Just choosing good location doesnt help. Alas it has failed in yet another property. Kolad is the same story. A family is travelling not just for sight seeing but for leisure and time we'll spent and that should be complemented by well prepared food. But total failure.

Morpho Banasree resort in Badami fail to offer a satisfactory experience during our stay. Claiming to be a four star resort, they cannot maintain basic standards of hygiene and cleanliness. As soon as we arrived at the resort, we were greeted with a huge stink coming from the room and the bathroom. The vanity mirror was missing too. I am surprised to see that despite the good reviews, they did not offer us a good experience in the stay. They did not even offer us a refund, claiming that we had to check in before, but that day we were the first ones to check in. They also failed to do a simple job such as moving our luggage into the room which is truly disappointing and disheartening from the consumers aspect. This is definitely a ripoff for Rs.20,000 and advise nobody else to stay in this resort. Update: They offered us another room in which the Geyser wasn't working, which we had replaced after another 30 minutes of argument. The next day the geyser stopped working and we were asked to use the adjacent room for our showers and baths. Before checking out they only offered us a 300Rs discount which is unfair beyond doubt. one of the worst hotels we have stayed in the recent years. They claim many stars for this resort, however they don't understand what basic hygiene means. It is a 2 year old resort and it looks like 10 year old one due to poor maintenance. Flushes don't work, gets clogged in front of the room, TV channels don't work due to subscription expiry, windows don't close etc. Restaurant serves very few items with exorbitant prices.

Reserved two rooms, but wouldn't recommend this stay. Given a room with a strong, unpleasant odor, and when requesting another room, they claimed all were booked. Ended up with four of us sharing one bed and sleeping on the floor in the other room. The next morning, asked for a refund; reception claimed they could have assigned another room, contradicting their previous statement that all rooms were full the night before.

Location bit far.... In monsoon its not worth. Food quality very bad. We ordered veg mix Pakoda & suprising we got only besan fried in oil. Rs 199/- breakfast is good. Rest u decide ur self.
