We had a disappointing experience at Grand Mercure, Mysore, while traveling with elders and a young child. Our specific food requests were handled casually and even denied on Christmas Day due to different priorities of the staff. This was a major shocker for us. Although staff apologized later but this created bad experience and memories for our family. Additionally, we were overcharged by mistake, and the refund has not been processed even after 30 days. In a nutshell, very unprofessional staff and management. We strongly do not recommend this property to family or friends.

I stayed at the hotel from 22nd to 24th February.Overall, it was a hugely disappointing and dissatisfied stay. The check-in experience at the reception was disappointing. We were not received properly, and the staff did not seem responsible or attentive. The welcome experience needs significant improvement. It was noticeable that the reception staff appeared to give more attention to foreign guests, which was disappointing. Every guest should be treated equally and with the same level of hospitality. The rooms were neat and clean, which we appreciated. The breakfast was good, but not excellent. There is room for improvement in terms of taste. Dinner was okay, but it could be better in quality. The swimming pool was not maintained properly and needs better upkeep.

Safety 28

We stayed here with four children and requested connecting rooms, but the hotel refused without any clear explanation. The staff took around 30 minutes to check availability and then offered rooms on another floor, which was unacceptable as our children were already sleepy. This delay showed poor coordination. Despite clearly requesting a room away from the lift due to child safety concerns, we were allotted a room right in front of the lift. For a hotel of this standard, the lack of responsiveness, poor planning, and disregard for family safety were disappointing. This stay did not meet expectations.

Absolutely Terrible Experience – Avoid This Hotel at All Costs! The hospitality was shockingly poor. The room was in a damaged state, and essential services were either missing or deliberately withheld. The fridge was locked and inaccessible. Basic amenities like handwash and body lotion were not provided initially, and when they finally did, the products caused severe itching and rashes on my wife’s hands. I requested ice, only to be told the ice machine was broken. Instead of resolving these issues, the staff forced us to accept these unacceptable conditions. No compensation was offered for the inconvenience and discomfort. This was a complete waste of money and an extremely unpleasant experience. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone. The hospitality was the worst I have ever encountered.

Nothing is quite right here. We ordered an extra bed, was not there. We ordered it again. No pillow, ordered this again. The phone did not work so had to ask for these by going up and down the lift. The hotel advertised an afternoon tea with cakes so we foolishly thought this would be provided. When cauliflower was served and we questioned this, the response was ‘that is just a picture’. Yoga was offered at 7am Saturday and Sunday and happened neither. Just the picture it seems. For the price, the Grand Mercure should be much better - comfortable and easy. It was neither.

This property wouldn't qualify as a 5 star property in any manner, let me breakdown my experience. As soon as I entered the room, it was smelling bad, I called the reception and asked for a room freshner spray, which I didn't get till the time of my checkout, even after 2 followups. Coming to the facilities, the room is small - it doesn't have bath tub (normal for 5 star properties), it doesn't have a iron box and iron rack, on request they gave me a broken iron box and some towels. The iron box started leaking when I filled it with water (it was a steam iron). The electric kettle in the room was broken, the switch was non functioning, so I didn't try to use it as I didn't wanted to get electrocuted. Ps. Only good experience was the breakfast. The restaurant staff tried their best. Live counter masala dosa was one of the best I ever had. They have something called a "high tea" session in the evening. Which is included in the room package. It's not even close to what can be called high tea. It's just tea, coffee and a sad veg sandwich. Bonus: if you park your vehicle in the basement parking, you have to take the service elevator to go up to your floor, and sneak throught the back

Stayed at Grand Mercure Mysore recently and overall it was a disappointing experience. Rooms and bathrooms were neat and well maintained, which was the only positive. Breakfast service was poorly managed with very few staff, long waiting times, and below average food quality. They even charged for ice cubes ordered to the room, which felt unnecessary for a hotel of this category. The biggest issue was with their valet service — my car got scratched during the day and the management’s response was unprofessional and dismissive. For a reputed brand, I expected much better accountability and hospitality. Not recommended based on this experience.

Had a terrible experience at the grand mercure Mysuru. The property was old and not very well maintained. Room had stains on the wall. Kitchen/restaurant was chaotic, the drinks that we ordered before starting our dinner never arrived! We eventually got the drinks 1 hr after completing our dinner.

Breakfast was good, but dinner was mediocre. Other than that, not so clean bathrooms, multiple follow ups to get everything needed, clogged shower room. None of the hygiene factors in the room were taken care of. Not a good experience for all the hype

3 star hotel masquerading as a 5 star hotel. Not worth the cost.. only recommend staying here if you've run out of options. Good location. Staff seems swamped in every area - from reception to room service. Would not recommend.

I'll not give 5 star because of the reason due to Manager behaviour his name is suman , he can't handle the pressure management and he is not eligible for manager post at any cost

Extremely disappointing stay. From the moment we arrived, the experience was unpleasant. There was clear partiality in how guests were treated – some were welcomed with aarti and drinks, while others (including us) received nothing and had to manage on our own. The room quality was very poor for the price we paid. Bedsheets and quilts were old, poorly maintained, and did not feel clean. The bathroom shower was broken, adding to the inconvenience. There was no fridge, no snacks, or even basic amenities that one would expect from a hotel charging this rate. The buffet food options were limited and far from satisfactory. Nothing about the dining experience justified the cost. Overall, the stay was horrible and absolutely not worth the money. With such poor service, lack of maintenance, and biased treatment of guests, I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Except for location this hotel offers nothing. Pathetic stay for us. Highly UNDERSTAFFED hotel FOOD is very AVERAGE, rooms are tiny and dirty. Hotel STAFF IS RUDE. They don't restock towels , cups etc in the room, we stayed here and had food in radission, regretting staying here, it would have been better to stay at radission. We even had to get our luggage down because they did not have bell boys
