The property was looking good from outside and had all activities close to nature. I stayed here just for a night but I got irritated by the way the rooms were handed over. The beds were not cleaned in the rooms we were given, infact had a stinky smell when we stepped(Fungus smell). After convincing the care takers we got a better sheets and quilts. Kids had place to play around which got them feel better in the next day morning.

Place is way bad than shown. Swimming pool is so small similar to a flower pond at home.. and construction work is going on when we've come which we weren't informed priorly. There's a public function going on, when we've come to enjoy time with our family. The managing people are also communicating very poorly, and keep talking bad about other resorts and lodges around. The only good thing was one calf(cow's baby) that was grazing around. Only reason I've put single star is bcs otherwise I can't post this. Negative star option should be there for such places🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

The staff acted as if we were there staying free of cost. For everything we had to keep asking them . It was just pathetic. And when we complain, the entire family will shut you off. Such horrible experience. Not fit to have it as a homestay. Unfortunately they are not even the owners, they are the caretaker and that's how they behave.

I went to Chikmaglur along with my family for the new year celebration and decided to stay in Shankar green valley after reading good reviews about it. We reached the homestay on 26th December, 2022 and by the time we arrived it was night 10:30PM. The caretaker of the homestay Vidhyadhar was so neglectful, careless that he did not bother to turn on the lights and dim lights were lit. On top of this, he took one short-cut route to take us to the dormitory which was our stay for that night. In that route, after 2-3steps there was a deep dry drain which he did not inform us at all and no workers were there to carry our luggages. So, I was carrying luggage, he did not turn on the lights, plus he did not inform us about the deep drainage which made me fall on my toe, whole toe got twisted and led to a major fracture in my right ankle. After coming back to Bangalore I had a major surgery done in my right ankle which costed me 3.5lac and the process was so painful. Now I have plate and screw set in my ankle which is very painful and unexpected for me and my family. I would never recommend this homestay to anyone.

Worst place to stay in chikmaglur. They have shifted our room 3 times in 2 days, dint server sufficient food. The workers are almost gundaas there they have threten to beet us up. They actually have permission for 10 people homestay and are doing illegal business. Beware if u go there is the worst place. They commit for one price And charges very high,and until u pay u r not let out side. Never ever opt for such a place.

Such a worst place to visit, When we checked in they welcomed us like thier family,later we came to know about thier true colours, most of the times there was power cut and no proper backup, they kept on changing rooms saying it was alloted by mistake and it was booked by other guests, they could not even serve food for all, quantity was very less, they started threatening us when we started complaining about all these issues.
