There was no AC control in the room. It was cold so we wanted it warm , but the techinician didn’t help out, that too at 10 in the night. He promised to set it right the next morning, but nothing happened. We went to dharwad and late evening the AC was still not right. We had to switch off the AC and sleep with no air circulation. We paid full charges for a non AC room. No one helped out , and our trip was the worst we ever had. Then the buffet breakfast. The very first day I called the restaurant manager kamalraj and told him that none of the south Indian dishes were fresh and tasty. Idli was leftover ones, heated in oven, the top layer was peeling off, chutney was cold, tasteless , upma was so oily , uddina vada batter was sour, semiya was hopeless. I can go on. I offered to teach the chef some cooking tips, and there comes a north Indian man who has no idea of the ingredients I was talking about. His hindi was not as good as mine , and I couldn’t understand his language, Seriously I went through all reviews and was surprised that no one had commented on the poorest quality of the so called free breakfast. Stayed here on 22nd–23rd April for a business trip with multiple room bookings and a conference hall at Hotel Dennison’s. Everything was fine until the front desk interaction on 23rd April around 6 PM. The staff (lady on duty) was extremely rude, unprofessional, and completely unwilling to listen or resolve a simple concern. Despite prior intimation about checkout, we were wrongly charged extra for 3 people. Instead of verifying or correcting the mistake, she argued without logic and refused to acknowledge the issue. Very poor customer handling, especially for a hotel dealing with corporate bookings. This kind of attitude is unacceptable and seriously impacts the overall experience. Would not recommend if you expect basic professionalism at the front desk.

Its more like hostel. For breakfast they charges extra 420 Rs plus tax. Even water is chargable. Outside food/liquor is not allowed strictly. Their in room dining menu is horrible. What if u want to taste khanavali food or say saoji or pizza/pasta? They should really learn from ITC/Taj/Marriott which allows outside food. Definitely not 5 star hotel.

I have no idea about the rooms but I've visited the restaurant on enough occasions. The food overall is expensive and tastes very good and on some occasions, excellent. On the contrary the menu is no great shakes. It's basically what you would find in any good restaurant in Hubli with a few add-ons. This is a tad disappointing considering the stature of the hotel (one tends to expect more). The wait staff are not competent enough to suggest or explain dishes. In fact on one occasion they summoned the chef to our table who then helped me order a dish (which wasn't on the menu). One thing that astounds me is that for some unfathomable reason only vegetarian food is served in the terrace restaurant. The view and ambience is great on the terrace but non-vegetarian diners will be disappointed. The ambiance in the garden restaurant is good too as is the sitting indoors. We tried the buffet dinner (I strongly recommend ordering a la carte). Although there are more than sufficient starters/dishes/desserts to choose from the taste was quite below par. A glaring shortcoming that is quite obvious is that the wait staff needs better training. The buffet closes at 11 pm and the staff starts c

I recently visited Denissons Hotel for lunch. The food was genuinely good—flavorful and well-prepared. However, the service was disappointing. We noticed a clear difference in how guests were treated. Those who appeared more well-dressed or affluent were attended to quickly. Even after requesting service, there were delays, and at one point the staff’s were giggling when we tried to get their attention. Good food alone doesn’t make up for poor service. Hospitality should be about treating every guest with equal respect, regardless of appearance.

The air conditioners in the restaurant were turned off, reportedly as a cost-saving measure according to the manager, Anthony. They were switched on only after considerable effort and repeated requests. This is not the experience one would expect at a star-rated hotel. That said, there were no complaints regarding the food or the rooms.

We came to your restaurant on 27th July 2025 around 8:40 pm for dinner. We ordered from your todays special item- BBQ MALAI PANEER TIKKA. We were served NON- VEG BY SAYING IT IS MALAI PANEER. We are Pure Vegetarians that (JAIN) your waiter doesn’t have the basic understanding??? IF HE IS THE INTERN ANY SENIOR PERSON SHOULD GUIDE HIM IF YOU ARE RUNNING SUCH A BIG HOTEL. THIS IS A BASIC UNDERSTANDING. THE CHEF SHOULD ALSO BE CLEAR BEFORE CONVEYING TO THE WAITER. VERY CHEAP AND DISGUSTING SERVICE FROM YOUR END. I HAVE MADE SURE THAT HENCEFORTH PEOPLE SHOULD CONSIDER BEFORE COMING TO YOUR HOTEL. ITS OF NO USE SUCH BIG HOTEL. WE COME AS WE HAVE TRUST BT NOW THAT TRUST IS OF NO USE. I have booked a hall for my marriage purpose in this place so I have done half of the payment at booking time on the marriage same day they wer expecting the amt I told them I have money in cash but I need to go to my office but they denied they made the couple to wait till night finally they made to pledge my car and then they left me they have not even thought how my marriage life ll get impact no courtesy, worst people, and worst management horrible people place is good, but the people are not good, so if I would have planned to file a case, I would have done it because this affected my marriage life, but still there is a time. Change yourself. Respect the people rather than the money.

I usually visit this place with family for a leisure lunch or dinner. Last night it was not a good experience. Staff was over occupied. To even provide a table, they had to discuss in front of us with their staff. The staff also seemed uninterested. To save time, we ordered starters, main course and desserts all together. I explicitly mentioned (to the captain) to get the starters first followed by main course and desserts. However main course was served (cold) first followed by starters. Even after multiple requests they did not bring seasonings. Wouldn't recommend this place for a family leisure time. May be good for events. Not sure. Message to management: Train your staff to wear a smile and be courteous. Along with local language, atleast they need good English or Hindi to communicate. They need to know your menu.

I went for dining yesterday with my husband and small baby.i had a very worst experience ever.Firstly, they asked us to sit over the table which was close by kitchen door.second they didn't serve the food. Just kept in the table and went.Food which we got was not fresh at all. It was already cold.And supervisor/manager not even come to our table and check whether we are satisfied with food or not.Being a 5 star hotel, try to serve the customer properly and decently. No one is coming there for free food. We are paying the money.So pay attention to your customer while they are in your restaurant.

I had the worst Dining experience today.. they took literally 30 mins to bring us each dish.. As they were understaffed they weren’t able to give us any service .. they delayed so much we didn’t even go through half of main course and it was already evening time .. so frustrating !! Please don’t enter dining if they are having a function

This place has lost its charm and customer service!! Their food has dropped to the extreme low quality and taste, they don’t bother whether the food is cold or don’t have salt and all… all they bother is to just finish the service and charge the customer with heavy bill and send them off!! Service is pathetic, they act as if they have not heard anything even when they have heard, especially the guy with no hair on his head should be immediately removed from there, he doesn’t even have a courtesy to speak to the the customers with smile on his face, as if we are eating in his own house free of cost!! This hotel and restaurant has lost its credibility and very sad to see this happen because I have been visiting this hotel from last 10 years and there is no standards maintained now!!

This hotel has very bad service. Food arrives after your hunger dies, and they make sure it does. They are very stingy in air conditioning. It's not a 'five star' hotel in any sense. The chef burnt up my order and they took nearly an hour to get my order. So if you are having a bad day DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE. And if you're having a good day, even then don't visit this place as it'll ruin it.

Decent rooms. Very basic average "working" breakfast. Slow service. Very small gym and pool. Poor attitude of management gives it another setback. Very loud music going on in surrounding areas. Preferable treatment given to local politicians.
