I rate this stay as worst of my stays so far. After paying 1700 bucks for a non AC double bed room, I was aghast looking at the room. When auto stopped in front of the building it took some time for me to spot the entrance to this place. There is no proper reception! A telephone booth like enclosure is there inside a passage. Customers have to peep into it. No one was there when I looked in. I had to enquire with some neighbors who asked us to wait for receptionist to appear. At last some guy with a forlorn look climbed down from adgescent steps. Then I checked in. At this amount, that too on a Monday, basics like complementary water bottles, kettle, shower, room service, elevator, parking etc are expected. There is nothing. Only a bed, a chair and a bath room. No proper ventilation too. Only one window is there which opens to the passage and there is no privacy. It is more like a hostel rather than a lodge. I really don't know why people have rated this place so high. Goibibo allows people to manage ratings? When I asked why he's charging so much to me when this should cost no more than 500 to 700 bucks, he said it is online booking so he can't help. But being a tax officer myse

I am surprised to see the good reviews, looks like it's all fake. First of all the room is very very small, secondly there is no shower in the bathroom plus the hand jet was not working...we had to leave the room immediately and search for another room in middle of afternoon. Don't go for low prices if you are with family, it's not worth it. If there was an option for negative rating I would give that.

This place is in town, near to bus stop and eatnari. But the rooms were not comfortable. They were very small. Only bed, chair and tv was available. They didn't even give toothpaste type basic thing. No service was there. I had a far better stay at another hotel at same price.

They don't have an intercom, they don't give complimentary water bottles, no complimentary toiletries, tooth paste and brush. There is no shower, no car and two wheeler parking. There is no wheelchair access, no lift, no complimentary breakfast, no attached restaurant. Room rents are not worth the place. Blankets are super thin. One needs to walk for 15 minutes to reach an eatery. The stairway is too narrow for a hefty person. I don't think that place is suitable for senior citizens with health issues. The location of the lodge is walkable distance from the main bus station. If you think of taking an auto, they might take you for a real ride and charge you beyond imagination. Overall rating - Not worth a Star!

So so stay. No basic amenities in the room. Rooms smell like bathroom and cigarettes. No food and no places or glasses or water in the room. I had asked the person for a discount at the time of paying deposit and he said he’ll consider it during checkout. Post our (early) check out, a different person called us and abused us saying we left without paying the full amount and said we’re running and blamed us for playing with his bread and butter! First time having such an experience. Wouldn’t call this a family stay!

Recently I and my wife had been to Chikmagalur for sightseeing (21.05.24 & 22.05.24). We stayed in Chalukya Comforts. It is very close to main bus stand. Walkable distance to Resturants. Budget lodge. Very neatly maintained. No lift facility. Owner of the lodge is very nice and helping person. We enjoyed the stay here.
