Why the score — what people flag
“This is the worst PG experience I have ever had in my life. I am writing this review so that new people will know the real situation before joining. First, the water purifier has not been working for more than one month. It is still not working, and we are forced to drink unsafe water. I have video proof of the purifier not working. Second, the food quality is very poor and the taste is not good at all. The quantity is also very limited. If we ask for a small extra serving, the owner always compares this PG with hotels. Whenever we raise food-related complaints, he gives excuses instead of solutions. Even if we request something simple like different sambar at night, he speaks with attitude and says things like, “Will you cook different sambar in your home in the afternoon and night?” Instead of listening, he only argues. Third, the kitchen area is not clean, and hygiene is not maintained properly. This is very concerning for people who stay and eat here every day. Fourth, whenever we complain about anything, the owner does not listen. He keeps giving reasons and telling his own stories and avoids solving the problem. If we complain again, he directly says, “You can vacate the PG.””

“This PG owner claims they provide unlimited food, but that is completely false. Items like chapathi, idly, puri and Dosa are limited, and even the gravy and sambar are restricted. Only white rice is unlimited, but even for that, the sambar is served in limited quantity. Many times, the food gets over early, and when people ask, the owner simply says “Adjust for today alone.” This is completely unacceptable. We are paying rent every month, so why should we adjust when the food is finished? We are not eating for free — we are paying for the food and facilities. The room maintenance is very poor, especially the bathroom hygiene. Bathrooms are not cleaned regularly, and the overall cleanliness is extremely disappointing. Also, there is no proper WiFi available in this PG, which is a major problem. Please do not blindly trust what the PG owner promises. He will say anything to make you join, but after joining, the reality is completely different and very unpleasant. Another serious issue is that the PG owner smokes inside the PG, which is highly unprofessional and uncomfortable for peoples . Overall, the PG owner is not responsible or loyal to his business. “you mentioned ₹80 per dosa — are you providing roast dosa or ghee dosa? You are giving only a normal dosa. Even in hotels, dosa costs around ₹20 and is served with both chutney and sambar. Please don’t compare a PG with hotels when the quality and service are not the same. The water purifier is still not working till today, and you haven’t addressed it. We are forced to drink that water without knowing whether it is safe or not. Regarding the bathroom — you have not provided individual bathrooms for each person. How do you expect it to stay clean without proper cleaning arrangements? Hotels maintain cleanliness regularly — are you maintaining your PG at the same standard before comparing it to hotels? About the dosa again — you are calling it ₹80 worth of food, but would you personally pay ₹80 for the dosa you are serving here? Every PG has rules and responsibilities. Just like you expect rent to be paid on time and don’t allow smoking or drinking inside the PG, you are also responsible for maintaining hygiene, food quality, water facilities, and the conditions promised before joining. Mugiwara★★★★★This PG is very bad. There is no proper WiFi, and the room and bathroom maintenance is extremely poor. They clean the bathrooms only twice a month, and overall hygiene is very bad. The kitchen hygiene is also not good. They claim to provide unlimited food, but in the dinner they give only limited curry for rice. They also tell us to use the afternoon sambar at night instead of providing freshly made sambar.

Dhuthi PG for Gents★★★★★I am the owner of this PG. The video shown above is provided by me, and this is the type of food and hygiene I maintain in my PG. Before joining, please think carefully. Once you join, I will not be responsible for any complaints related to food or other issues. I will not respond to such problems. This is my behavior and my policy. My only expectation is that I receive the monthly rent on time. Also, regarding the deposit: before joining, I may say that I will return it, but after joining, I may not. If you ask later, I may ignore or avoid it. If you still question me, I may try to convince you with my own reasons or emotionally talk about my personal/family problems. In my PG, others may say that I am a good person with a kind heart—but the reality is, my priority is money. So please be careful before joining my PG. Once you join, I am not responsible for anything. I only expect timely payment every month. That’s all.
