“No hygiene maintained; bedsheets, blankets, pillows are smelly; lot of noise from vehicles outside, receptionist is rude”

“Sitting person at reception counter need to learn how to speak to the customers. He is very rude. I just asked him friendly that last year the charges were 200 rs per bed( in 2024 ) and now you are asking for 300 rs per bed ( in 2025 ), and how come 50% jump in price. I know the prices can be increased by 20 % to 30% in an year for hotels with rooms and no one can go 50% jump for dormitory bed, For asking this, He started shouting at me stating he can't provide the bed and told me to get back to his dormitory only when the price becomes 200 rs, as if he is only provider of accommodation in Udupi, Moreover his beds are not equipped with individual bed charger points, no blanket is provided.”

The staff behavior is extremely unprofessional and feels almost intimidating—completely unacceptable for any guest. On top of that, the entire place smells strongly of cigarettes, making it very uncomfortable, especially if you’re sensitive to smoke. If you’re thinking of booking here, please reconsider. Spending a little extra money on a better place will save you from a lot of stress, discomfort, and regret. This is not worth your time or money at all.
