I enquired for 4 night stay. ₹7000 per night for 2 persons. I wanted to stay with my aged mother(84 yrs). As my mother is diabetic, I asked owner lady to provide just a cup of curd rice for my mother only, for lunch b'coz it's not good to be in empty stomach up to 12 hrs. She refused to give. Then what's the point in paying ₹28,000. I dropped it.

The property is well maintained without any doubt but host was not welcoming and we felt as if we are staying in hostel. Let me tell you why- we were family of 6 and 2 infants who recently visited. Upon reaching, the first thing the lady who is the owner reminded us no to litter as we have infants and later we were asked to switch off lights and all . These things are not expected when you visit. Have been to many homestays but haven’t had such bad experience like this one! Only money minded, thats all!!

Had recently been to this homestay with family of 6 members and 2 infants and didn’t feel||Welcomed at all! The host was only busy maintaining the property. The first thing we received as welcome message from host was “please make sure your kids don’t litter” and repetedly reminded of the same!

I had booked for 2 nights through Yatra and made full payment at the time of booking. But same evening got an email from homestay (Ms Vasavi) stating they will not honor my booking as they do not entertain bookings made via third party sites. Seriously? Then why have you listed your property over there? What if I hadn't see the email and landed at your place thinking I am all set with payment etc.? Would you had turned me and my family away? I found this very unprofessional which I have never experienced before. It wasn't like they were full and Yatra had overbooked - they asked me to book directly through them, probably to charge more or to save on commission. Obviously, I took refund from Yatra (after giving them a piece of my mind for wasting my time) and booked another better place. Great businesses are built on trust, here I sensed arrogance. In response to owners comments below: 1) You had just emailed. It was I who called to understand more on your refusal. 2) Your charges were indeed more when inquired at the phone numbers mentioned (a gentleman had answered). Even if the booking site had charged me more (as per your claim), why did you refuse the booking? It would have m

Single star because they are not children friendly, they are obsessed with their properity's cleanliness. (Our child vomited once they created a huge hue and cry about their homestay getting dirty and they even asked us to clean it.) Other wise good homestay nothing great when it comes to location, situated by the village road, was expecting a better place.

We have come from Bangalore and having a 2 year old kid...now helpless where to go since there is no rooms available due to long weekend...

i spend 3 days with family and it was really nice stay, staff was very good and supportive. They cooked whatever we asked for and the food was delicious and almost similar as we have at home. i travel with my 2 year son and they provide us time to time milk, baby food whatever relevant, clean the bottles etc... Home stay was very well furnished, clean and spacious. Very well situated and cover with full of trees and Coffee plant, not very far from city, if you have personal car then only 20 mins drive. Overall it was fruitful three days, I feel relaxed and refreshed.

Nice homestay very peaceful and get full privacy for individual families. Spending time in home stay was worth as they have big rooms, one front room too for watching TV. Dining area and a good veranda where u can spend time, sit and talk. Have big coffee estate can go for a walk in morning inside the estate. Food served was amazing. The Service girls were amazing and very hardworking. The owner is pretty good and polite. Overall a very good and refreshing outing at this homestay and chikmaglur

Wow... amazing location, very warm people and some gr8 malnadi food. Me with my wife travelled by road from Bombay to Soudhamini Coffee Estate n Homestay covering a distance of 900 Klms (16 Hrs. Drive) one way and I must say the journey was worth it. Firstly, the location is one of the best surrounded by mountains, trees and lot of birds (I have never heard so many birds chirping and it was a treat) away from tourist crowd yet close to all main attractions but believe me once you enter the estate property you dont wanna leave this beautiful 100 year old superbly maintained bunglow with some great interiors and lot of open spaces. The best part is though the entire coffee estate is in area of around 100 acres the estate owner Mrs.Vasavi has just 3 cottages open for guests so it doesnt become crowded and the guests get their own space and time to enjoy their stay at the property. Talking about food they serve you good variety and you get to experience local malnad food which was very new for us and very delicious. The food & hospitality service are provided by the team of local girls who are always eager to cater to your requirements with a big smile on their face. One must also take

We planned a 2 days stay at Soudhamini for a friends trip and we had such a wonderful time there. The cottages were perfect, so aesthetically done and tucked inside a 100 Acre coffee estate. The hospitality was top notch and the food served was really amazing, that we started to look forward to each meal. Highly recommended and a wonderful home stay experience!
