We went to this place just seeing the ratings but certain things that I did not like are listed below ,some of these were listed in the website but my fault i did not go through the same well: 1. Rooms are upstairs and the stairs are steep old fashioned so difficult for small children and elderly. 2.Rooms are small and have only table fans. 3.Beds and Bedding needs lot of improvement-Mattress was thin and hard and bedsheets were old and not maintained. 4.No Towels provided 5.There was no hot water available because there is no geyser,the water gets heated in boiler in the morning only. 6.Food is purely veg which was already mentioned but tastewise needs improvement and thr price quoted for same is more. 7.The windows do not close properly like there will be some gap when you close and these allows entry to few insects. 8.Caretakers are good and very caring this is definitely one plus point. 9.There is no kettle so bring yours if you wish . 10.The house,location is beautiful but rooms are old and not maintained ..it really needs a proper renovation . 11. Also,if for any reason you are leaving even in few hours you will be charged for one full day .

They are too unfriendly and highly expensive. The price they quote and the service they provide is very unimaginable. The lady denied to prepare food and asked us to have it outside. The breakfast they provide is limited (2 dosa per person) and soon after they cook, they just lock the premises and leave, so the guests don't get water, coffee or tea and there is no one to attend to their needs. BEWARE: They are not child friendly at all as mentioned!!!. I never recommend this place for anybody. ================================ HERE'S MY RESPONSE TO YOUR LIES!!! 1.WERE YOU DOING SOME CHARITY FOR FREE? IF NOT YOU WE HAD OTHER OPTIONS!! 2.NO ONE REQUESTED, I ONLY ENQUIRED, IF ANY ROOMS WERE AVAILABLE! PLEASE DON'T ACT LIKE A KID!! 3.WHAT SERVICES HAVE YOU OFFERED FOR FREE?? TINY CUP OF BROKEN CHIPS? OR THE MICROWAVED LEFTOVER DOSA THAT YOU SERVED IN THE EVENING?? WHAT'S FREE?? BREAKFAST IS INCLUDED IN THE CHARGES RIGHT? 4.YOU SAID 2000 PER ROOM AND CHARGED 3000 PER NIGHT AND I AGREED WITHOUT QUESTIONS 5.THEN TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR IRRESPONSIBLE BEHAVIOUR. 6.IF YOU HAD BEAUTICIAN APPOINTMENT AND DID NOT GET A COOK TO PREPARE FOOD AFTER ACCEPTING OUR BOOKING THAT'S YOUR TERR

At first the place and the people were all good. but as we stayed longer they showed very clearly how irresponsible and unprofessional they behaved with us and our guests. since we where a full group of family and friends who came for my wedding. for me the negative low was reached when on our wedding night the husband of the owner lady pallavi, came to us at 11:15 and without acknowledging that it’s our wedding day, made a scene and complained about how loud we are. Even though we were leaving next day and all the people were already in bed. ||the problems continued in the billing. If you after all this still decide to stay there make sure you agree on the price of every extra service, they charge obscenely!!!!||I do not recommend staying there!||||My husband and I chose Arecanutvalleystay as accommodation for our wedding group because we wanted to offer my friends and relatives, most of whom have never been to India, the most authentic experience possible. Initially, everything seemed fine, and the owners were friendly. However, as our stay progressed, it became clear that Pallavi ran the homestay primarily as a hobby. She was often too tired or stressed to do anything or help us

My friends rented the place for us to stay during their wedding in Sirsi. We were a big group of swiss family and friends. The guesthouse itself is located in a beautiful area, also the food was nice and the rooms were clean. Unfortunately the guesthouseowner weren't able to handle a big group staying for several days. We weren't partying or asking for an extraordinary treatement but when plans were changing (which can happen on an swiss/Indian Wedding and 20 people coming from overseas) and as well some people got sick - they got very stressed and made us feel not very welcome. At the end they didn't even congratulate the bride and groom and actually started to complain to them in their wedding night!!! Also the price they were charging extra was outrageous!

We stayed here for a day during June 2nd week. For city dwellers, the tranquility of the place mesmerizes you and the lush green environment, the bird chirps, the frogs croak, cool breeze, early morning drizzle, the earthy smell, transcends u back in time. The food was simple yet scrumptious and hospitality was great. The rooms & bathrooms were clean with basic amenities. Would love to stay the next time I visit the place.

This place is almost 15 km north of Sirsi and just 3 km away from Sahasralingam. The location shown on Google maps for this place is quite misleading, as we missed the turn and went 2.5 km ahead following the google maps instruction. You need to turn on Hulgol road from Sirsi-Yellapur road, and travel another 1 km to reach this place. There is a signboard in radium on main Sirsi-Yellapur road, but you will easily miss that if you are following the google maps instructions. ||||Mrs. Pallavi runs this homestay as a hobby, and accommodates the guests in 5 rooms in the ancestral huge traditional home. The surrounding is serene and scenic. Owners live in the same house and are very friendly & caring. The room was spacious and clean … bathroom was very small though. Toiletries and towels were provided. Lovely home cooked local food was simply delicious. Overall a memorable stay.

Excellent accommodation surrounded by beautiful greenery, very calm and peaceful.|Hosts were very warm and friendly and exceptionally hospitable!|They made special arrangements to ensure we had hot water, although their hot water timings were different.|Clean and well maintained.|Highly recommended to anyone visiting the area. We will certainly go back!|
