While the food itself was good, the staff could benefit from improving their manners and communication skills

I'm a regular customer at Redrock, but today's experience was disappointing. The staff member who wears glasses and handles billing told us the restaurant was closed when we arrived, but then allowed other guests to enter. This inconsistent behavior was frustrating, especially since we had come specifically for dinner. The hospitality was subpar, and I will no longer recommend Redrock to my friends or surfing guests. Instead, I suggest visiting Palm Springs. Don't even deserve single Star for theire hospitality

It was really shocking to know that the resort charged extra to my nephew as he did not take catering service from them. The location is nice. The hotel looks nice. The beds were not clean. There were tiny insects roaming around in the bed. It was really a disaster. Don’t recommend this place for family.

A shabby hotel closest to a beach, the appalling experience starts as soon as you enter this premises! The rooms are dirty, toilets full of mosquitoes, worn out laundry, wear and tear everywhere. Added to this the stench from sewage which was flowing all over the place. The manager had no clue what was going on. This place is NOT for families!! Please avoid this horrible hotel. We had to check out and checked into another nearby place.

I wouldn’t recommend this place for weddings or events. Our experience took a turn after we declined their catering service due to the high charges (Rs. 690 per person, which I arranged elsewhere for Rs. 290). Unfortunately, the situation worsened after that, with several issues arising that impacted the quality of the event. I had booked 19 rooms, but due to an unpleasant smell in some rooms, my in-laws chose to stay elsewhere. Despite this, the owner still requested payment for the unused rooms. Initially, the quoted price for a poolside event was Rs. 10k over the phone. However, a day before the event, we were informed the price was Rs. 15k. The owner stated that Rs. 15k was the standard rate, even though I was given a lower quote by the receptionist. I’m unsure why this discrepancy occurred. I had requested breakfast for 60 guests at 7 am, but after an initial agreement, the receptionist later informed me that breakfast could only be served at 7:45 am, which caused last-minute arrangements for breakfast near the wedding venue. During our discussions, the owner made an unfortunate comment about our small Haldi event, calling it "cheap." However, he then came to ask for cash

place is good and food is ok... but service??? it feels lyk the waiters only work for tips... if you pay tips little late they literally make you get up and go... and pass bad comments.... it was horrible experience as we paid the bill by card and before we were about to tip by cash he was lyk get lost from here... and my friends from mumbai even asked me why the suppliers in mangalore are so rough... even he had some bad comments to pass about our female friends... hope this will help the management to look after the behaviours of the staffs....

I forgot my Ray-Ban on the table after dinner. It wasn't returned. Dishonest staff - I hope they go to ruins. Bad and lax service. Poor breakfast spread. Not very great on cleanliness. I think they don't clean the rooms unless asked to. This is ok, but shouldn't this be informed, rather than expect us to discover their norms? Proximity to the beach is perhaps the only plus. This place is still in business for want of other good hotels in vicinity. The restaurant is fine, ambience is good, though there is lot of room for improvement on hygiene. Service, as I mentioned, is very poor. It is as if they would rather be doing something else than attend to the diners. And at the end of the day, when I think of Red Rock, or even of Mangalore, I find myself brooding over my lost Ray-Ban, no thanks to the restaurant staff who found it and took advantage of my forgetfulness.

If you are planning to stay there please change your mind. They have water issues! Sounds surprising as the property is next to sea? Yeah you read that right. I am an NITK alumnus and stayed there in Feb 2022. They have this weird water in bathrooms which has very bad odor and yellowish brown color. The smell is so bad that you can't stand in the bathroom for few minutes and I dare you to brush your teeth,wash your face and even think of taking bath. When I raised this issue, I was shown a lab report which shows that water is potable! Surprisingly it was issued by Civil Engineering department of NIT Surathkal!! The reports indicated that it has very high Iron oxide content which is the reason for the bad smell and color but is drinkable!! Chemically it may be but how can someone drink/use it when the smell is so bad that you will vomit if the water comes within 1m range of your nose. Clean Water is the bare minimum thing that one expects at the stay in hotel and Red Rock Residency failed in providing that and hence I am never staying again at this place and I suggest you too to never even consider staying at this place.
