We had very high Expectations of this Hotel. But don’t Believe in website pics the rooms are actually bad, not clean and very Unhygienic. Never book your stay with them. Worst hotel ever. No mini fridge in the room. No soap holder in the shower: how do you access soap and shampoo from the washbasin counter? Ridiculous design of the bathroom. Worst is that we were on the 3rd floor and on the 4th floor, Despite booking a king-size bed room in advance, Very disgusting service…staff behavior was very poor… Hotel general manager is very greedy for money even he need to learn how to treat the guest… very disappointed from this hotel…

I visit Shivamogga every year and usually stay at Royal Orchid Central, which has always been a great experience. This year, I decided to try a different hotel—and that turned out to be a mistake.|Right after check-in, I noticed there was only one towel in the room. I called housekeeping and requested another, but it took 25 minutes and two follow-up calls to receive it.|The situation got worse at night. Around 4:00 AM, there was a power outage for over 30 minutes. The AC stopped working, and when I tried calling reception, even the phone lines were down—completely unacceptable.|The next day, we left the room at 9:00 AM, handed over the key card, and specifically requested room cleaning. However, when we returned at 5:30 PM, the room had not been cleaned. After reminding them, it took another 30 minutes, and we had to wait outside the room the entire time.|On the day of checkout, I tried calling reception for 30 minutes, but no one answered. Eventually, I had to carry my luggage down myself. When I raised the issue, the staff casually responded that the phone “didn’t ring” or “must have been busy.” Apparently, there is only one reception line for 88 rooms, which explains the poor r

I stayed at this hotel for two nights (suite room 301, Date: 26th Sep2025 - 28th Sep2025 booked through their official website) and unfortunately, the experience fell far below expectations. From the beginning, hospitality was lacking — no one bothered to call or confirm our arrival. At check-in, the front desk was completely clueless, with little effort made to welcome or guide us. The room itself clearly had not been checked properly before being handed over. The safety locker was not functioning, and on the second day, housekeeping was not done despite pressing the “clean my room” switch outside the door. Cleaning was only carried out after explicitly requesting it. For a property that positions itself at a premium level, these basics should not be overlooked. The biggest disappointment, however, was with transparency and attitude regarding breakfast charges. On the official website, the room with breakfast and without breakfast showed one set of rates. I booked only the room, thinking I could pay separately for breakfast on the second day (since we were away on the first morning). 1 Star for 4 star hotel. Property is good and has potential. Good breakfast. Parking is good - no issues at all. With the current staff and mindset it’s not going to sustainable. In house menu is like star hotel pricey and very choosy. Outside food not allowed is their policy but not mentioned during booking confirmation. 👏 👏 Nobody is going to visit the place, if you explicitly mention outside food N/A. For the events you conduct for marriage I wonder is your chefs cooking for 500plus ? Then event guests should not be roaming in the property, external vendors arranging chairs and random people moving around premises is a threat to in house guests isn’t it ? You won’t be collecting adhar or id for all the visitors anyway. Only these rules apply to in-house guests 🤔 We are not here to pay the money and get dictated, pls. For few plates we waited hours memorable experience for us. Property is located outside city and close to Safari other than that I would not like to comment. The bathroom is very dirty and smelly. No one can go there. Please provide facilities for sleeping, bathing, and going to the bathroom. I humbly request you to provide me with such facilities.

The hotel offers good facilities and a comfortable ambiance. However, most of the staff appear to be from North India and are not very familiar with the local culture. Some staff members also seemed to display an unfriendly attitude. We had requested an iron box, but it took almost two days for the staff to deliver it to our room. Additionally, when I ordered an onion dosa at the restaurant counter, I waited for nearly an hour — despite multiple follow-ups, the order was never served. Overall, the service quality needs significant improvement. Suggestions for Improvement: Provide customer service and hospitality training to enhance staff behavior, communication, and responsiveness. Strengthen supervision and monitoring to ensure that service standards are consistently maintained.

We had a very disappointing experience regarding an invoice issue. It is clearly the hotel’s responsibility to prepare and manage invoices properly, but due to their internal mistake, we were repeatedly called and unnecessarily disturbed. The amount involved was very small, yet the way it was handled caused inconvenience and mental stress. We are regular customers who have supported this hotel with birthday events, marriage functions, and multiple orders over time. We always maintained a good relationship and had high expectations for their hospitality. Unfortunately, this incident has completely changed our perception. Professionalism and accountability were missing in this situation. I hope the management takes this seriously and improves their service standards, especially when dealing with loyal customers.

Staffs and food was good. But hotel room facilities are worst. Regular power cut issue. Ac was not working at all. We stayed there for 5 days and changed our room almost 5 times due to AC issue. In mid night all of sudden AC stopped working. We booked an hotel and pay good amount instead of choosing any cheap lodge just to get relax ourself at night but in these 5 days were the worst night we faced becz of incomplete sleep.

We just returned from a short trip to Shimoga, and unfortunately, our stay at this property was nothing short of disappointing. To begin with, the only positive I can acknowledge is that most of the staff were courteous and polite — and sadly, that’s where the positives end. When we checked in, we were escorted to our room and our luggage was placed on a broken slab. Once the staff left, we noticed the damage and immediately informed the reception. Instead of addressing the issue, we were asked “Who broke it?” — an unprofessional and unnecessary response. I clarified that it was already broken when we arrived, yet no one took any action thereafter. The next morning, we discovered that the kettle hood was broken, and after struggling for a while, we somehow managed to make it work. When we informed the reception, we were told to “not worry” — a casual and dismissive response that reflected complete lack of ownership. Adding to our frustration, the telephone in our room wasn’t working, forcing me to repeatedly walk to the reception for even basic requests. Things got worse when the team messed up our booking and called us to check out a day early, despite our reservation clearly

For cost we are paying, The rooms was stinking of moss and burnt wire. Front desk was ok. Restaurant took too long to deliver food. Morning breakfast was chaos. The coffee tea were kept in a huge drum, was too cold, I specifically asked for hot coffee and was given it, else they let you drink cold from the huge unattended drum. Coffee machine was broken. Guests were scrambling for cutlery especially, plates and all of the staff were inside the kitchen hiding from us, no one to attend to us. Everything was everywhere in the breakfast, all jams were mixed up in the same container...is allergy not a thing? Mixing peanut butter with jam?? Food was average, but the staff are so unmotivated and clueless. They couldn't even bother to spell local food names! ..you ask for anything, the staff dissappear into the kitchen door never to be seen again, they have no clue about hotel industry and service...

I had visited Harsha The Fern by a recommendation. But one of the worst hotel I have stayed ever.||I had booked winter premium room number 503||From the time i entered the room I am not at all statistied and raised the below concern form the time I entered the hotel.||1) some construction work and there was continues drilling noise|2) Requested to change the broken and dirty kettle which is not replaced as an when I speak now (Hot water purpose is for baby)|3) mini fridge doesn’t work|4) AC is not working from aft noon 2pm (2nd may) and even after complaining no use.|5) Room cleaning service happens at 2pm and the bed spreads are not been changed.|6) Today lunch was order from the restaurant and other food was fine. But the curd rice was so bad, they had mixed it with spoilt curd and it was so bad and we had to return it and the hotel personal acknowledged it was spoilt and did not charge us.||I can list down 2 more things which i don’t want to do.||Note: Apart from front off there is no managers available to address the concern.||One of the worst hotel I have stayed ever.||I strongly recommend people not to visit this hotel for stay and loose your money and time

Worst hotel and service. I booked 2 rooms for my family on MakeMyTrip from 1st Oct to 3rd Oct 2025. While booking, it was clearly mentioned as Jain food for breakfast. The same was reminded while check in both reception and restaurant. Reminded again on 2nd Oct early morning. Unfortunately, the same was not provided on time on 2nd Oct. We had to wait for nearly one hour to get the Jain breakfast that too after lot of shouting at the staff. We had clearly asked for non smoking room, they provided smoking room. They changed the room after 3 hrs that too after escalating the matter to manager. No room cleaning done even though we are staying for two nights. Do not recommend anyone to stay here.

Please donot come to this hotel. We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and lost 2 nights sleeps. 1. Room was booked in my hubby's name Sachin 2. We had booked suite 301 which was full of cockroaches ( small to big) 3. After complaining the staff allotted us room 501 4. Room 501 had AC issue whole night power of the room was intereped AC didn't cool 5. Worst part is we would have been killed or paralysed without oxygen as no body addressed us throughout the night 6. Morning at 6 I gave a call to reception again 7.some maintaince guy walks to room at 6:30 in the morning and ask if there is any issue 8. Hold on this same guy was last evening too where I had complained about AC sound.. he hadn't fixed it 😔. 9. So there by we paid for 2nights for undergoing no sleep... As first day I felt even in the bed there were cockroaches crawling around Dear Harsha Ferns Team, I openly want to apologise for booking room with you to see the 2 night hell. Please keep you and your sorry , can you return my 9 year old's 2 precious nights. I hate to see my kid is in trouble, so why we hate you. Checked in late and was given a room stinking with cigarette smoke. Had to complain front desk repeatedly and a rude room service guy came with room freshner. Very poor service. Had been here before and the property has aged and maintenance is pathetic. This should be degraded to 3 star. This is no way a 4star. Will never recommend this place.

I have stayed in room today at 424-food menu is not there I called thrice to room dining call They were not able to send menu for 20min When I called again Mrs Seema who picked call saying it take time to share menu She is arguing saying you can put bad review I don’t care I told reception to check tv not working for 45 min no one turned up Let me wait when they will share the menu There is huge shortage of manpower in the hotel Won’t recommended worst experience
